The coronavirus has devastated the American economy and now threatens to sabotage upcoming elections according to the President and local conservatives.

LOCALS JOIN PREZ TRUMP AGAINST 2020 COVID-19 MAIL-IN VOTING PROPOSALS!!!
Here's a roundup of the argument from the Commander-In-Chief along with push back from Democratic Party leaders and the MSM . . .

Amid Coronavirus Outbreak, Trump Assails Push for Mail-In Voting
Trump’s case against mail-in voting has become increasingly desperate. His latest briefing showed it.
As Trump rails against mail voting, some allies embrace it

Trump Opposes Mail-In Voting In November: "I Think A Lot Of People Cheat"
In Kansas . . .
Alt-right politico and Senate candidate Kris Kobach recently shared his skepticism . . .
Kobach: The Coronavirus Is No Excuse for Opening the Door to Election Fraud
Money line:
"Because the states’ voter rolls include so many invalid names—deceased voters, people who have moved away, noncitizens, and duplicate registrations—huge numbers of extra ballots are sent out by the relevant election officials to invalid names on the rolls. In 2012, the Pew Center on the States estimated that the voter rolls nationwide contain 24 million invalid names. As a result, nearly 250 counties have more names on the voter rolls than there are eligible voters living in the county."
To be fair, Mr. Kobach offers a path forward and insight on "securing" votes but warns that without greater protections against fraud enacted in all 50 states, the President's concerns will be proven correct.
Finally, here in Kansas City the topic of mail-in voting for the streetcar has been hotly contested over the course of several elections.
An unsuccessful lawsuit against the KC Streetcar TDD argued the mail-in ballot process was too cumbersome and unconstitutional.
Recently, a TKC reader reached out to us on the topic.
"When there are fair, citywide open votes, we seen the results are 2 - 0 in favor of no streetcar. The streetcar only wins when there is rigged voting. Kansas City voters have seen the mail-in ballots used to steal elections. We should be skeptical of this tactic in the presidential vote of 2020."
It's unlikely that a COVID-19 vaccine will be available by November and some remnants of social distancing and lockdown orders will remain as the flu season restarts. Kansas City opposition against mail-in voting hasn't provided much success but local warnings about the risks of the process and potential for voter suppression might help better inform the conversation moving forward.
Developing . . .
voters should reject it outright. I don't think the process will be fair and it seems like mail in voting could require even more contact with others if we're required to get it notarized.
ReplyDeleteI think you're being to skeptical here TKC.
DeleteOf course we'll have a coronavirus vaccine by November, and you'll have to show proof that you've taken it in order to vote.
^^^ Scary.
DeleteLook at all the quivering Republicans, terrified that it will be easier for more people to vote.
DeleteTrump knows about cheating. He cheated on all his wives. Why wouldn't he cheat on you too?
ReplyDeleteTrump doesn't need to cheat, he already had more support than Biden.
DeleteHe would beat him easily in a fair election. Too bad that those are becoming harder to guarantee in this country.
U.S. should have been developing secure online voting years ago. This idea has been pushed locally too. I'm an decided voter but it's obvious that the current system doesn't work. No matter who you support.
ReplyDelete^^^ +1
DeleteIf that bitch Pelosi wants it, I am against it.
ReplyDeleteEvil witch.
It's the future.
ReplyDeleteMail in and notarized ballots are much easier to count. I'm more afraid of those republican computer ballots that always steal elections.
Do you trust the post office?
ReplyDeleteOf course, Trump himself used mail in voting in the last two Elections, Pence has used it in the last five elections and McConnell has used it for eleven Elections, but you peasants don't deserve it.
ReplyDeleteIn all fairness, there actually was a case of Mail-in Voting fraud in the 2016 Election, a Republican Congressional Candidate from Georgia, but since Mail-in fraud is something that is extremely easy to detect, that was quickly corrected.
And also remember that the Kobach Commission spent several million dollars and over a year looking in 2017, and was unable to discover any other instances of Voter fraud in the 2016 Elections.
But, as Trump said on Fox & Friends, regarding the Democratic attempts to get Mail-in Voting attached to the so-called Stimulus Package "They wanted to put all sorts of crazy things in there, like mail-in voting. If we had accepted that, we'd never be able to get a Republican elected to any Office in this Country again!"
Restricting voting is the standard method the GOP uses to gain power.
^^^ +1 on this comment. Explains it perfectly.
DeleteIt explains nothing. None of its allegations are supported by provable facts.
DeleteYeah dipshit, why cant the left ever just tell the truth, it's called absentee voting, it is already available to everyone and it is not the voting by mail the dems are angling for
DeleteIf any leftist criminal democrat committing election fraud should be tried for treason and executed. How else can the criminals get elected?
ReplyDelete^^^you sound stupid!
Delete#trumpburialpits
ReplyDeleteOf course the democrats want mail in ballots they have been caught throwing them away if it does't meet their sick mind set. They always have been immature children. Just look at what they are doing now, giving stimulus money away to illegals and voting against more money. Sick Sick people.
ReplyDelete^^^you sound stupid!
DeleteIf the census can count us remotely, if we can efile our taxes, if we can e-sign financial documents, we can certainly do online voting. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that those opposing online or mail in votes do so because they know the popular vote now will most likely be democrat.
ReplyDelete^^^votes don't count anyway! So send in your ballots. The Electoral College decides who will be President.
ReplyDeleteIn February the dems are calling for nation wide mail in voting for an election that would not occur for another 9 months...at least they have their game plan down.
ReplyDeletedems are masters at vote harvesting that's what they do and that's what this is all about, no question about it.
The "resistance" at all costs will continue until trump is gone or until this country is destroyed and there is nothing left to grift for themselves, their families and friends and donors.
The real issue I have with mail in ballots is you have no idea who for sure filled out and mailed it in.
ReplyDeleteRush Limbaugh. Dead yet?
ReplyDeletehere tony we fixed your logo we hope u like it
ReplyDeleteDonald Trump votes via mail-in ballot.
ReplyDeleteOnce again non-existent voter fraud is used as an excuse to disenfranchise.
Go ahead and try to be honest for once. Your president votes absentee which is available to every voter right now, so if your position is that you want everyone to have the same opportunities as your president...they already do.
DeleteI would never trust an election where mail in ballots were the norm or where e-mail voting was used. There is no way to verify the voter.
ReplyDeleteWhat if someone sends in a mail vote and their elgibility is challenged? Do they get sent a challenge notice in the mail, and then an opportunity to respond? Does this back and forth take days, weeks?
How do you confirm that your vote was received and counted once you drop it in the mail?
Who pays the postage?
Dem claim Rs are not really concerned about voter integrity and just don't want mass mail in voting because they will lose more elections.
ReplyDeleteDems want mail in voting because they think they will win more elections, in other words, Dems are fine with sacrificing voter integrity as long as they get to win more.
You can bet Dems wouldn't be pushing it if they thought it would benefit Repubs.
