If you can't get a test, well, where are they going? What are the doctors and nurses doing? There's only a couple of things that could happen — is it going out the back door? And I've reported it to the city and let the city take a look at it... there's something going on.
^^^ if the idiot Kansas governor wasn’t hoarding the test kits anybody who NEEDS IT would get tested, don’t buy into the fake news networks telling everybody they don’t have test kits because that’s a damn lie, the providers have been told by granny not to use them unless they’re absolutely positive they need it. Why is anybody’s guess. I was at my personal doctors office yesterday and they said they have plenty of them and have been getting tests done by the hundreds.

The CDC guidelines enforce rationing because they have known how slow the feds have been in reacting and developing test kits and how far behind they still are in production and distribution. The CDC is where Kelly's directives originate.
Kelly has had multiple requests for federal support denied by the Trump administration. The state lab has only received enough resources to run fewer than a thousand tests a day.
I'm calling bullshit on your doctor office "visit". Most hospitals and clinics don't even have in-house testing yet, let alone individual doctor offices. They send samples out and don't have facilities to process on site. We see who is posting bullshit.

“The state lab is running about a thousand tests a day” but you said they don’t have enough tests to begin with, with fewer than 800 confirmed cases it sounds like they have enough to me. It’s the states responsibility to have enough labs to run the tests or send them to other labs for testing. You seem confused by that fact.
My bad, My doctor sends people out for testing and he did say they have plenty of tests to go around, I feel bad for you if Obama care insurance isn't doing it’s job for you besides, you clearly don’t need a test if your on here being a whiny little bitch.
So you think states should ignore CDC "recommendations" and do their own thing? Brilliant. The GOP governors of Florida, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama and others did exactly that and have been universally criticized as wrong.
ReplyDeleteOne big reason states can't implement their own testing policy is there isn't the capacity in the entire national public and private system to test what is really needed. Kelly could 'authorize' every request possible, but that doesn't magically make them happen. Have you read about the backlogs and waiting? It can take over a week for some samples. We were promised millions of tests several weeks ago, and that still isn't close to happening.
State labs can't whip test kits out of thin air. It's up to the feds to develop and/or approve them.
When you eventually want to reopen the economy, you need to quarantine every positive person, which means testing everyone with flu-like symptoms and everyone with contact with carriers, even without symptoms.
To do that, Kansas would need tens of thousands of tests every week. 700 isn't nearly adequate. By correlating that number to positive case numbers as acceptable proves you have no idea how math, medicine or science works. Right now we are only testing the sickest people.
Again, if you think there are only 700 total actual cases in the state and we have identified every existing case now (including pre and asymptomatic), you are a fool. Just quit reading and posting now.
Leave the medical and public health opinions to those that understand public health threats. But, Obama, whiny bitch? Just stop. You're embarrassing yourself.
