Here's a glimpse at the newspaper attempting to rearrange deck chairs on the Titanic their coverage as they double down on reporter that TV news mostly does better . . . Read more:
The Star hires two breaking news reporters focused on public safety, inequality
Reporters Cortlynn Stark, left, and Anna Spoerre have joined the breaking news team at The Kansas City Star. The Star The Kansas City Star has hired two reporters, adding strength to its coverage of breaking news and increasing its focus on issues of race, class and inequality.
If Hoops had a sister.
ReplyDeleteActually, more public safety coverage is worthwhile and something that should be encouraged by everyone who lives in KC.
ReplyDeleteThe Communist Kansas City Star has been biased for decades to the Communist Democrat Party.
ReplyDeleteStupid business model as they ran off their customers with fake news and left wing editorials.
Hope the Star goes under and current and former editors / writers lose their pensions for their decades of lying and distortion of facts. Good riddance.
So corporate whores are communists now?
DeleteOh, right, in comparison the right wing cranks...
^^^^ Get a new tune. That one is worn out.
ReplyDeleteGood for the Star that they are hiring!
^^Seems to me you're lying & distorting facts.
ReplyDelete"Communist Kansas City Star"? Really?
"Communist Democratic Party"? Really?
Seems to me you're pretty biased. Wanting a business to fail & hoping people lose their pensions? Despite your condescension, you're quite a stupid, asshole.
Shall I wish you lose your job & pension? After all you're lying & distorting?
why not increase focus on news.
ReplyDeleterace, class and perceived inequality are all the star has ever focused on...and grocery ads.
Anybody write their departure poem yet? These are just junior yaels, hoops, that mexican lady whose name I thankfully forgot, and that dumbass 'professor' at umkc.
i might someday be interested in the star if they would cover the corruption in KC, the abuses of the fire department, and how tax dollars are spent. maybe a series on how Sly and Jolie f-d KC for an airport and their other corrupt activities...or maybe something on how crooked Cleaver is. Or how Sharice Davids was a total mistake for JoCo.
There's two more great reasons to NEVER read the KC Star
ReplyDeleteHoops 2.0.
ReplyDeletedeath spiral.
ReplyDeleteSo tired of the 2020 American inequality whine 24/7. A homo, black or illegal already have ten times the rights and opportunity of a non homo, black or illegal. Beyond the constant hate towards white straight men, notice that all hate is focused towards the elderly right now. I guess others sucking a dick makes a person both a victim and a victor in 2020. But, always just a dirty cocksucker.
ReplyDeleteSo tired of the Republican Losers whining - nothing ever suits them, and they could fix everything if they only had political control, except when they had that for two years they didn't get diddly shit done!
ReplyDeletePack-of Jack-offs!
^^^ you talking about bLIEron?
ReplyDeleteWhen insight is needed in race/class conflict, always turn to the wet-eared for their experience and wisdom.
ReplyDeleteNEWSFLASH!
ReplyDeleteThe Kansas City Star is DEAD.
The body is cold and in the morgue.
Instead of hiring a couple of recent graduates on the cheap to focus on issues of race, class and inequality (same old divisive shtick), why not tell the real story of who bought a controlling interest in McClatchy while hiding their identity with offshore hedge funds?
Hint: who is willing to throw several million dollars into a losing investment for the ability to control a chain of propaganda newspapers across the country?
with no sports, they don't offer much.
ReplyDeleteTwo children with no credentials who come cheap. Terrible newspaper. I subscribe to the Epoch News and Arkansas Democrat Gazette, both superior newspapers. The Star is a dim bulb
ReplyDeleteLooks like Byron worships the Communist Kansas City Star. Not surprised.
ReplyDeleteWhen the Star publishes lies day after day, the newspaper deserves to go under.
ReplyDeleteobjective observation only leads to one conclusion: they have a pathological condition.
ReplyDeleteeverybody knows that by now.
it's one reason tkc exists.
"Seems to me you're pretty biased."
ReplyDeleteByron making such a statement to another is today's falling out of your chair laughable quote.
I think I remember a newspaper called "The Kansas City Star". Was it that good newspaper that turned to toilet paper decades ago? Oh yes, now I remember.
ReplyDeleteToday, new editorial writer, Michael Ryan, goes left to attack Gov Parson. Shows Ryan is a Romney type RINO, conservative in name only.
ReplyDeleteFor an ignored, irrelevant commie rag; the KC paper of record still triggers the geezers but good.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteNot sure they did their due diligence in coming on board for a paper that has no local ownership much less any kind of Journalism ownership and now, answers to a Hedge Fund Manager for staffing and expense decisions.
My guess is that these two were hired and a legacy person (or two) were jettisoned in order to make room for the newbies.
today, it's content not journalism. content is basic, easier, cheaper.
ReplyDeletehire people cheap and tell them to crank out content.
