Kansas City Haters Target Asian Community

Context and the politics behind this story . . .

In a tweet from late March, President Trump advised Americans to protect those of Asian descent "in the United States, and all around the world." He posted the message hours after he once again referred to COVID-19 as the "Chinese virus," a term he's used multiple times that some experts say has led to hateful attacks on those of Asian descent.

The local angle weeks later:

Asian Americans In Kansas City Say COVID-19 Is Bringing Out Racists And Internet Trolls

The coronavirus outbreak finally spread to the Kansas City region last month, but local Asian American residents say they were feeling the global pandemic's effects long before that. Adeta Chareunsab, a sophomore at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, said she began facing harassment online weeks before there had been any confirmed cases in the U.S.

  2. You know this is sad that people are that ignorant to take this out on Asian people in our country.

Do you want to hear about a traitor to our country?????
The mayor of Chicago is taking COVID-19 federal money and giving it to illegals. This is money for the American people to recoup from business closings, and loss of jobs. Mitch McConnell is asking for more money and the democrats are saying no. But yet they have this deformed idiot in Chicago giving it to people who aren't even citizens, no green card, nothing. If you want to fight, fight over that crap!

  3. This is likely not true. And the only example of anything happening in this story is from that dumb asian lady whose kid was coughing in the mall. She said it wasnt coronavirus...it was the flu. WTF? Why are you out spreading the flu? Everything else is people afraid that they are going to be discriminated against...everyone needs to be a victim.

  4. To the left, victim status is everything. It beats wealth (earned or not), fame, health, etc. What the progressives don't realize is there is a huge segment of the population that could care less about this injured class and those that try to popularize their 'plight'. Most people simply shrug and say 'whatever'.

  6. "No reported hate crimes have been reported in the Kansas City metro, but some members of the Asian community here say they’ve felt uncomfortable going out in public since the outbreak began."

Non-issue so far in KC, and misleading title to the post. It's not happening in KC, and until it does, you'll have to be satisfied with just being a PFV (potential future victim), which we know is a step lower on the Identity Victim ladder.

  8. Asian people have been in the U.S.FOR Hundreds of years. They help build the railroad Great DRY Cleaning and Great Clothing makers Sport Coats. But people are afraid. Stay off line. Many travelers Brought this virus from Europe and Asia. And this New,America is hear to stay. And the Job market will not be great. And the 80 thousand dollars a year Jobs will be few unless you are a good Sales and Marketing person or have a business .Or sell toilet paper and gloves and mask .OR have a food truck .You can sell thousands of Tacos on Tuesdays.
