  1. Actually, the lockdown might be historic but it's not unprecedented. In 1918 it took KC a long time to finally enforce a stay at home order but after thousands of people died it was finally enforced.

This time around Mayor Lucas was much quicker to react and that certainly saved lives.

11,000 people in the KC area died in 1918 of the Spanish avian flu. Hopefully, God willing, in 2020 the totals will be a lot lower.

    2. That was a real disease, that killed the young and healthy (ave age of death was 28yrs old) and killed 17 to 50 million. Ironically it was the young that died not the old.

This is a fake plague akin to the yearly flu and kills only the old and already sick.

We are already doing way better than any prediction for doing things perfectly 200 - 500K were suppose to die - not even close so any thinking person would re-evaluate the this situation based on reality not a bunch of bogus projections that were all wrong by huge amounts.

Countries that have done nothing are not seeing any more deaths than countries under lockdown.

It is abundantly clear that this shutdown is unnecessary and for political purposes.

    4. Hey, dipshit at 10:36, where was any lie in 9:18's statement? This is a 100% political power grab not anything akin to a real pandemic. Did I return my socialist given money? Fuck no, it will be taken right back out of my taxes in incremental pieces over the next couple of years; watch. If you even fill out a return you for damn sure don't pay any attention to it. You're just looking for "how much money you get" without any realization that it is your money in the first place. I'll give you progs this: taking taxes out of paychecks before people ever saw the money, and giving a little bit back at the beginning of the year was a GENIUS move. Like pigs at the trough waiting for their guv bonus. If we eliminated that, and made people write quarterly checks, like I do, it would be the end of the prog-Dem party for the remainder of our lifetime.

  2. FUN WITH NUMBERS

KANSAS: 1588 cases, with 80 deaths = Mortality rate of 5.04 percent

MISSOURI: 5111 cases, with 152 deaths = Mortality rate of 2.97 percent

KANSAS CITY: 389 cases, with 12 deaths = Mortality rate of 3.08 percent

Please note that the reported statistics from the state of MO and the KC Health Department are correlated very tightly, which is what you would expect if the same virus is circulating in both locations.

Now, once again note that the state of KS is reporting a mortality rate approaching almost twice that of MO or KCMO. This statistically significant anomaly has been in place for weeks, and I haven't seen any KS officials offer an explanation.
How is it possible that the same virus can be so much more lethal in KS?
One very likely explanation is that COVID-19 deaths in KS are being recorded in a liberal manner which inflates the true number.
Why would someone be motivated to record a death as COVID-19 when it really wasn't?
Would you be surprised to learn that it comes down to dollars? If grandpa dies from COVID-19 instead of heart failure at the hospital, nursing home, etc., the provider gets reimbursed more money. It looks like KS is playing games with their reporting.

    1. Ummm, Einstein, you somehow forgot to offer a hypothesis why it happens in KS but not in MO.

    2. Doubt they're being inflated. If anything, as we're learning from national reporting, deaths from the virus are being under-reported, ostensibly so as to avoid a panic.

Perhaps Kansas is just doing due diligence where others are shaving numbers...

      Delete
    3. Jesus are you an idiot or just purposely stupid. The mortality rate of this is akin to the flu, you have not include the 90% of people who get it and are asymptomatic and those with mild symptoms who are never tested.

    4. 6:32, you're always complaining for more (kind of like your shortchanged wife in the bedroom!). Why do a very small minority of people commit most of the crime? Why is one facility in KS reporting so many deaths? Who owns that facility and what is their connection to the Washington state outbreak?

8:04, "as we're learning from national reporting" That's funny! You mean like CNN, MSNBC, FOX, etc.? You think they're underreporting to avoid a panic? That's some twisted logic! If you want to contort yourself into a pretzel, while believing the networks which routine lie to you, be my guest.
Where are the trillions of dollars going? Why are GM, Ford, GE getting bailouts disguised as ventilator contracts when we don't need any more? Why are your once fundamental Constitutional rights being stripped away? Why is everyone being tracked via their cellphone? Why are the grocery stores not back to normal?

"bailouts disguised as ventilator contracts when we don't need any more?"

The reason you believe this is because this is what Der Fuhrer said. Silly boy, he lied.

Your Constitutional Rights aren't being stripped away, fearmonger.

    6. Oh Byron how you rattle on. Byron Funkhouser is walking talking proof of the mental health conditions in this country. He so belongs in the cuckoo nest he was kicked out of the armed forces due to his mental conditions. You can't believe anything he says as they are manifestations of what he thinks were said. Byron has a type of Bipolar Disorder. BD is a mood disorder and can result in delusional thoughts and all of the other symptoms we have seen him display. The being blind part for instance is to cover for his wacky ways that gets him a free check every month thanks to all us hard working people. OCD can also be part of this BD picture. People with BD also tend to self-medicate with dangerous drugs, just like meth which maybe he does or does not but we do know he has admitted to smoking weed. His delusions can be so very fixed that it seems to create or lead to a form of memory, even though the memory is false. His memory of something terrible that was supposed to happen in childhood from dear old Dad and about Brother Mark and his family is not a memory at all but truly is a delusion or false belief. In all likelihood, if such an events had happened in his life many people would have remembered it as such and talk about it. Byron has no friends as most anyone can attest to and why he lives in hiding for fear the real truth would come out. Why Mark never speaks of him because Mark knows the truth and is man enough to not speak ill of those with severe mental conditions. People such suffer from mental illness as Byron does will most always hate with great passion those who have done better than them or have power and authority over them. Why he so hates guns as it's illegal for him to own one so he fears you having one where he can't. Why he so wants a socialist state in society as he thinks that will make him equal to you and I which us who know better can see why that will never happen. Yes Byron will flip out when he sees the truth here and as typical of those who suffer from what he does the truth is a lie and their lies are the truth.

    2. I do understand the basics of a pandemic and this is definitely not it. This entire fiasco is an average flu death year. Maybe we'll get up to 40-50k deaths (my earlier predictions we're 30-40). But at the same time, our flu deaths have dropped precipitously (10-20k). And in the decreases of other leading causes of death and you have NO STATISTICAL CHANGE IN MONTHLY NET MORTALITY RATE OF THE UNITED STATES. That's it, period. This is NO increase in death, has absolutely NOTHING to do with shut-downs or social distancing. It was manufactured panic millions of American deaths, which the prog mouthpiece used to panic sheeple. Then err, well, a quarter mil, yeah, that's how many; err, well maybe 60k. Fear mongering to induce panic in sheep. Now that the numbers are clear, its amazing how transparently and quickly it is dividing the populace into progs vs free people again. Progs like you saying against all reason its a pandemic and we have to stay locked down, free-thinking logical people like me, backed by numbers clearly demonstrating this was an orchestrated scam.

  15. Professor John Oxford is one of the UK’s foremost virus experts and runs the UK’s only secure isolation ward for testing treatments for viruses on behalf of a company called Open Orphan (ORPH). He has today sent a letter lashing out at a “media epidemic” and saying that Covid 19 is in fact less bad than a normal flu season. He says there will be fewer than 8,000 UK deaths from Coronavirus.
He disclosed he is a shareholder in Open Orphan and as a company it is a winner from Covid 19 hysteria which makes Professor Oxford’s comments all the more remarkable .
Professor Oxford’s letter does contain a warning for fatter, diabetic younger people but his overall conclusion goes to show that Coronavirus is, perhaps, the greatest exercise in GroupThink folly this country has ever witnessed. As such the policy response of this Government, hurtling us into recession without any hard data to justify its decisions, must be seen as, potentially, the most catastrophic misjudgment, albeit one whipped up by a media and political mob.
