KANSAS CITY APPROVES CORONAVIRUS MOTEL FLOP HOUSE FOR HOMELESS!!!

Local scumbags and drug addicts know that coronavirus isn't the worst thing that locals have picked up at this establishment . . .

Accordingly, here's a glimpse at worsening poverty and pandemic in Kansas City:

Fox4: KC pays for hotel to isolate, house homeless recovering from coronavirus

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas presented an ordinance to city council members, proposing a contract with a local hotel to house homeless people with COVID-19, a move meant to suppress the spread.

Lucas’ plan will use the Rodeway Inn on Admiral Boulevard to give homeless coronavirus patients a place to recover.

Public health studies show homeless camps and shelters have become easy places for the virus to spread to multiple carriers.

This plan will use $80,000 from the Kansas City Health Department to blocks of rooms at the Rodeway, where homeless people will receive medical care and a temporary place to recover from COVID-19.

“While we have quarantine orders right now, we can’t just say, 'Everybody, go back into your house.' There are a lot of people who don’t have a house,” Lucas said.

More about the 20 rooms reserved hobo COVID-19 cases:

KSHB: "The legislation text states the city has no available housing options under its control for necessary and appropriate quarantine or isolation of individuals without current housing."

  2. Should have done this with the downtown hotel.

  3. Would hate to be there as a regular paying customer. Imagine the risk that they're putting the other workers at. This seems like a "humanitarian" effort bit if you really look at it, the "free" housing will will cost a lot more than 80,000.

    1. ^^^ Uncalled for. What is the human cost for keeping sick people on the streets. Mayor Lucas did the right thing here and it's beneficial for all of Kansas City.

  5. Hey "HK" hurry up and die. You're pretty worthless and serve no purpose here. Go lick some toilet seats to speed up the process please!

  6. Fuck that. Nobody wants to stay in that rat trap. Put them up in the Loews hotel. It's not being used. The LEAST the developer can do after being gifted 10s of millions of dollars from the city is to give back to the community and let their vacant hotel be used to serve the people free of charge during a time of crisis.

  7. 811 is on to something, makes sense, it is much larger than the rodeway and could hold more of the upcoming onslaught of the expected 1000s of cases here in the metro. Some floor could be for only the homeless, other for the overload from hospitals - no need for the makeshift tent hospitals ....

I am on board with this proposal.

Think a local news outlet would pick up this story?

  8. ^^^There are no Republicans to blame for choosing the wrong hotel, so probably not.
