Gov. Kelly modifies Kansas orders to include churches to social-distancing orders
TOPEKA, KS (KCTV) - Kansas Governor Laura Kelly said Tuesday that she is expanding the state's stay-home order to includes churches and other religious organizations as well as funerals. The new Executive Order Number 20-18 replaces Number 20-14 and extends the limiting of gatherings to 10 people or less to church and religious services and funerals.
Humm does the phrase "or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" mean anything?
ReplyDeleteThose who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one. Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. He who sacrifices freedom for security deserves neither.
All Christian religious right fundamentalist churches should be allowed to hold services on Easter. The survivors can take the case to the Supreme Court later.
ReplyDeleteBut baby-killing Granny leaves all of the abortion clinics wide open for business.
ReplyDelete7:39, you beat me too it. The KCAC hates the Christians as bad as the atheist Hitler hated the Jews!

ReplyDeleteCommunist Democrat Party hates Christians and American churches.
Communists kill off the clergy as they see religious leaders as a threat to their ideology.
Wearing a face mask and 6 ft apart or outside should be able to attend. Worse than communists.
ReplyDeleteNobody is exempt from the 10 person rule

No right is absolute.
ReplyDeleteFree speech doesn't mean you can yell 'fire' in a crowd theater.
Excise of religion doesn't mean gathering and spreading a fatal virus during a declared public health emergency. Churches aren't being singled out. All gatherings are banned.
Hate Christians??? Kelly's actions are saving Christians, in spite of their preferred self destructive behavior.
Personally, I think they these fake Christian should pack their fundamentalist churches on Easter and lay hands on each other.
Yes they are being singled out. Many large construction sites are not shutdown, large big box stores are not shutdown, parks are open.
ReplyDeleteI ate Ice cream today.
ReplyDeleteWhere is everybody that screams separation of church and state if a coach says a prayer before a game.
ReplyDeleteStand up for religious freedom!
ReplyDeleteGet to church on Easter. Pack them full. Don't let some lefty governor keep you away from what's really essential!!!

ReplyDeleteQ: On March 18, why did Kansas become the first state to close schools for the remainder of the Spring semester, when Gov. Kelly issued an executive order???
Please tell us which Easter services you are attending 7:26, 8:17, 8:29, 8:39, 8:53, and 10:16.
ReplyDeleteOr is this just more fake outrage from fake Christians.
