Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas On His 10-10-10 Plan To Ease COVID-19 Restrictions
Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas discusses his "soft opening" plan to get nonessential businesses running again in Kansas City, Missouri
Per the CDC, influenza kills 40,000-60,000 people in the US per year, and hospitalizes another 500,000-1,000,000. We dont even mandate a yearly flu shot. Yes, the mortality rate for CoVID is much higher, but experts believe that when asymptomatic infections are considered, the rate is less than 1% and not much different than H1N1 or SARS was. The hysteria surrounding CoVID and the complete destruction of our economy as a result doesn't make logical sense. It's become an excuse for a grab-bag of goodies for every connected corporate interest and a wet-dream for every big government type.
ReplyDeleteThe hard debate is being ignored by most in favor of their partisan-driven ideologies. It's not a "capitalism at all cost" situation, and nor is it "every life matters". The real question to be answered is, where is the line between mortality and economic devastation? Is saving 100 lives worth the economic collapse? What about 10,000, or 1 million? Until this debate can be had without partisan rhetoric or tired dogmas, there will be no guiding principals behind sound decisions.
ReplyDeleteExactly.
DeleteFUCK SCIENCE AND DOCTORS AMD THEIR FANCYSCHMANCY BULLSHIT, I WANNA GO OUT AND DIE.
ReplyDelete^^^^ So you want to send somebody else to die and get your groceries? Get'em yourself you bum!
ReplyDeleteLucas's "explanation" about his plan isn't what's important.
ReplyDeleteListen to the line of small business people rolling their eyes and explaining how it's completely unworkable.
Lucas's lack of practical real world experience and his life in the hall of academia are showing.
And the folks in Jackson County have announced that they weren't even consulted about the new KCMO opening date.
Lucas has very quickly appointed himself emperor of the metro.
It won't end well.

ReplyDeleteKick his ass out!
I don't think I can eat my bacon, waffles, eggs and grits at the Waffle House within 10 minutes. Maybe I should practice at home first.
ReplyDeleteI think Quinton has exceeded expectations as to how worthless he would be as mayor.
ReplyDeleteByron is a retard.
ReplyDeleteIf he wants to help open the small businesses, visit the small businesses and determine the better options to move forward. The goal is "social distance". The virus doesn't spread without interaction of people. Endless businesses do not have a business or a business model for social distance. A bar or restaurant may or may not have an opportunity to distance the customers; but does the end result reduce the income too much for the business to stay in business.
ReplyDeleteMayor Selfie, at it again. And why does he have two Twitter accounts? He uses them interchangeably. Normally one would be for work and one would be for personal use; but that is not the case.
