KCMO's budget had a slight increase, but how will it be affected by the coronovirus?
By John Sharp KCMO's $1.7 billion budget for fiscal year 2020-21 beginning May 1 adopted by the City Council March 26 includes only a slight 2.3 percent increase in overall expenditures compared to the current fiscal year's budget, according to City Budget Officer Scott Huizenga.
Looks like we are depending on 4, 5, 9, 41, and assortment of writers and tweeters to lead KCMO not off the cliff at this point.
ReplyDeleteThe City Council should forgo their salaries and the City should eliminate pensions for former city council and mayors.
ReplyDeleteBe it a 2% increase or 20% increase the end result is identical. The revenue streams for KC MO will be decimated. While Mayor Selfie works to house the homeless the remaining working constituents flee the city. Harsh reality, but until KC MO focuses on the haves the city will have nothing for the have nots.
