Congressman Cleaver Supports Mayor Quinton Lucas On Extended Kansas City Coronavirus Lockdown Until May 15th

Kansas City political alliances are tenuous at best BUT we notice a growing camaraderie betwixt the former Mayor and the current city hall honcho.

In fact . . .

Insiders say the Congressman could be close to suggesting a successor to voters at some point in the not too distant future.

For now here's Rep. E.C. from D.C. support for the longer Kansas City COVID-19 lockdown despite growing protest, resentment and worsening economic hardship inflicted on locals amid growing conservative objections:

An import but somewhat overlooked message from the Congressman:

"This is the correct decision from @QuintonLucasKC. I understand that people are itching to leave their homes, but we cannot risk a spike in cases. Lives must always come first."

You decide . . .

  1. The support for Mayor Lucas is nearly universal only the people who don't have KC's best interests at heart object!

    1. No he isn't doing the right thing. People are suffering out there and the virus is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be in this area. It can also be avoided. You are the ignorant one wanting to cause collapse in the economy over something that's blown way up, you losers are always wanting to stir up trouble.

  7. This virus is not going to magically disappear on May 3, May 15, June 15, July 15 or any other day.Its here to stay. In addition, the terrorist around the world now have a new weapon they can use to bring a country to its knees. So don't think for a minute we will be going back to normal. So we need to be back open for business.

The lock down was only designed to give the hospital time to deal with the surge of cases. They were suppose to add beds, ventilators and personnel to deal with the patients. I believe we are at that point. Any failings, such as testing, will continue until a new President is elected.

Moving forward we need herd immunity to be safer and that means low risk people need to catch it if they haven't already caught it. I wouldn't be surprised many of us haven't had it already without symptoms.

If a lock down must continue, it would only be for those at risk people who know they shouldn't be out until a vaccine is developed.

  10. Congressman Carwash, who brought KC the Green Impact Zone boondoggle funded by taxpayer dollars. His wife was executive director of the Urban Neighborhood Initiative. Squander millions upon millions of taxpayer dollars, steering funds to politically connected allies, and nearly all the projects are failures and unsustainable.

Bank of America had to sue Cleaver and his wife for their $1.6 million in delinquent loans, related to an SBA loan for a carwash business. The court approved garnishment of his Congressional pay. Though it remains unresolved, KC-area media refuse to report on the story as they continue providing political cover for the dementia-afflicted liberal Democrat.

    1. As fascinating as this story is, it gets old after repetition. Cleaver and BoA settled the lawsuit in 2013 for the loan to buy the car wash, which had been purchased in 2003, so this has been a settled issue for seven years. How would you like it if your financial missteps and activities in Missy B's restrooms were constantly posted for the rest of your natural life?

      Think about it.

So, they settled the lawsuit in 2013?

How do explain this 2014 headline:
Court issues order to garnish Emanuel Cleaver's Congressional Wages
Feb 18, 2014 - Emanuel Cleaver and his company sued in a dispute over $1.6 million in delinquent loans he obtained to buy this Grandview car wash.

See, the thing is, Cleaver kept making promises to pay, but never did. He thought once he got elected to Congress that he'd be untouchable, and the whole debt would go away. Local media cooperated by constantly giving him political cover and claiming the matter was resolved or unimportant. Cleaver is a deadbeat thief of taxpayer dollars.

I have no interest in your homosexual business activities, but not surprised that you tried to divert the focus away from the truth. It's what mental midgets like you always resort to when you're losing the argument.

    3. 2014 is still 6 years ago, and the car wash is as relevant to the TKC post your activities at the DB before they closed would be to any reasoned position you might want to state. It's called ad hominem because you can't refute the idea, so you attack the person.
