WALL STREET JOURNAL QUESTIONS CORONAVIRUS SHUT DOWN AMID DISCONTENT WITH ECONOMIC DECLINE IN KANSAS CITY & THROUGHOUT U.S.
The stock market is on a roller-coaster and there's fear that American unemployment could reach 30% as the economic impact of this pandemic worsens.
The tragic reality is that so many put profit far above the concern for human life.
Whilst TKC does not endorse this opinion (or anything besides scantily-clad hotties covered only by dead-tree newsprint) . . . We've noticed our social media friends spreading this OP/ED almost as quickly as cases of the virus continue to rise.

"No society can safeguard public health for long at the cost of its overall economic health. Even America’s resources to fight a viral plague aren’t limitless—and they will become more limited by the day as individuals lose jobs, businesses close, and American prosperity gives way to poverty. America urgently needs a pandemic strategy that is more economically and socially sustainable than the current national lockdown."
More important than political rhetoric . . . In the end, people will have to determine the validity of this argument in their day to day lives.
