AMC Theaters furloughs corporate employees in wake of coronavirus shutdowns
LEAWOOD, KS (KCTV) - Leawood-based AMC Theaters announced a furlough of all corporate employees Wednesday. Last week the theater chain announced that they were shuttering all 600 of its theaters in the U.S. after first trying to limit the number of customers in each theater to follow social distancing guidelines.

Please do tell what budget items were reduced to fund the items. The items are worthwhile but Kansas City MO doesn't have a dime to spare. What is the city going to do when the revenues drop by 30%?

AMC THEATERS and THE KANSAS CITY STAR and JOBS. Story similar to TKC but one problem...Headline reads "66,0000 lose jobs in Kansas, Missouri as corona virus spreads". On the same page in the 3/27 Star there is a story about McClatchy and their Bankruptcy hearing. The number of Jobs lost is "66,000" Wow! That's a lot of jobs! Great job KC Star editors and Fannin.
