Even As Kansas City's Economy Comes To A Halt, City Council Passes $1.7 Billion Budget
The Kansas City Council passed a $1.7 billion budget Thursday even though the city does not yet know the full extent of the impact the coronavirus pandemic will have on the city's revenues. "We are in a most serious time," Councilwoman Teresa Loar said during Thursday's four-hour debate.

ReplyDeleteThe worst of it will be the efforts to highlight the increased revenue numbers in March; the increased revenue numbers associated with the preparation fro the corona virus. People will stop buying toilet paper in April. The money from the feds in May / June will prop up the story for two months.
