TKC MUST READ!!! MAYOR QUINTON LUCAS DISPUTES FAKE NEWS CLAIMING KANSAS CITY TOO SMALL FOR STIMULUS!!!
Recently, there was Kansas City fake news speculation arguing that this cowtown was too small to get desperately needed stimulus help.
To wit . . .
MAYOR QUINTON LUCAS WHIPPED OUT THE FACTS IN ORDER TO CHALLENGE SENSATIONALIST QUESTIONS ABOUT KANSAS CITY'S SIZE!!!
Let's not forget that a great deal of this stimulus is just a blank check with very few deets . . . So the dead-tree media fearmongering is a bit much.
Standing at round 5'9 (in shoes) . . . Mayor Q might not be very tall in stature but we admire the confidence as continues to measure up to this historic coronavirus challenge . . . Here's the money line from his full statement:
"For what it's worth, Kansas City believes its present population now exceeds 500,000, so its many non-profit and public safety partners should receive aid to help support our entire region. I will work non-stop with our delegation to ensure we are able to continue supporting those who need the most support in the Kansas City metro."
Interestingly enough . . . Whilst Congress-lady AOC is taking a hit as she advocates for illegal alien stimulus . . . Counting all of "the undocumented" would easily push Kansas City, Missouri over the top of stimulus population requirements.

ReplyDeleteA fair way to handle Mayor Lucas' claim would be for the Federal Government to grant the "Stimulus Money" to Kansas City on the Mayor's assertion, then, after the 2020 Census is completed, should the population of KCMO be less than 500,000, the City agrees to IMMEDIATELY repay the money, and the Mayor agrees to IMMEDIATELY go to Federal Prison for defrauding the Federal Government, with a sentence of twenty years with no possibility of parole.
