When Bruce Jerwick bought Slabotsky & Son Fine Menswear more than 20 years ago, customers regularly asked: "Where are you going to move?" or "Have you looked at other locations?" They couldn't fathom why a business that depends on foot traffic would want to stay in downtown Kansas City.
