Inmate escapes custody Sunday morning while being treated at KU Medical Center

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - A male inmate has escaped the custody of a Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office deputy while being treated at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Authorities said around 3 a.m. Sunday, 34-year-old Brandon Banister had escaped custody. On Thursday, detention center medical staff evaluated Banister and sent him for further treatment to KU Medical Center.

  1. Due to taking an elderly neighbor many times to this emergency center. It is often filled with criminals with cops outside their rooms. Mass psychotics screaming and behaving like animals . Taking beds and Drs from actual people like my neighbor that was going through Cancer related problems. We spend a lot of time and money playing games with all these people and it's a real problem for every community.
