    1. Well they already have a lot of protection but sure. Advocate for more. Sorry is your complaint about bad tenants supposed to be some reason to let abusive landlords like TEH rip off thousands of our Kansas City neighbors? If so it's stupid.

  2. Bottom line; KCMO has no money to fund anything. Failed infrastructure, trash on the streets, broken sidewalks, unable to reinstall all of the Paseo signs, parks in disarray, city vehicles in disrepair, failing city jail, city hall falling down, and the list goes on.

    1. So why should even more Kansas City money go to abusive out of town slumlords?

  4. ^^ 5:25 PM - Everyone should be required to have Rentals. Not many would back any of these people post ownership. The toilet broke 2 years ago. Not one call . So we decide to move the toilet and shit in the basement for two years. Or maybe the people that kept chickens in the attic. Or maybe the ones who kept a horse in the laundry room and partial kitchen area. People are amazing. One would think you would call if the toilet handle is broke instead of shit over a hole for 2 years. "need anything ?" Oh no, everything is great. There are both sides to every coin.

    1. Hahaha you want 2 private citizens to pay for thousands of rip offs by abusive landlords. That's stupid.

  6. Entitlement at its finest. The cost of housing will increase with the initiatives demanding higher quality housing. The better investment would be to train the tenants how to be a better tenant (and avoid future issues). Too many tenants don't understand the consequences of not fulfilling their side of the bargain. The endless protests are wearing at best.

    1. That is so 2019! Tenants rights are provided by state law for many years and by KCMO since last year. It's now a question of enforcement of those rights. Sounds like you just want out of town rip off artists to continue to suck millions of dollars from KC. Are you one of the rip off queens?

  7. Ok teach tenants whatever you want. Ok to also teach our rights under state and city law to not be ripped off by repeat offender slumlords? To be clear you totaly forgot to explain why thousands of people should be systematically ripped off.

  8. Obviously you have never had tenants . You sure are welcome to jump in on ownership at anytime. A person can always buy property if they don't like "slumlords". Why don't they ? I did.

    1. Why do you hate the state laws that give us the right to rent adequately maintained apartments and to not be evicted for complaining??

  10. It never was about helping tenants. It is about a few organizers getting onto the taxpayer trough.

  11. Serious question, why do you hate poor people so much, and love rip offs so much?

  12. You can tell the people that work vs scam in almost every post. I think the poster said there were two sides to a coin. And provided a " Few" examples. Then the standard hate for success by a guilty scumbags reply the standard blame of hate.
