  1. Miranda looks good in green but this is one St. Patrick's day when we could probably go without the puking.

  2. Haven't heard a whole lot from the "more population density" downtown crowd recently.
You know, the tear down individual houses to build apartments enthusiasts.
Living in your own home is looking pretty good right now.
Guess viruses have been around a bit longer than "urban futurists"!

  3. If Kansas City had more women Like Miranda Kerr, we would probably have way fewer homosexuals around. How can you look at her and then decide you prefer to suck dicks?

    1. Homosexuals are born that way. They don’t decide to become faggots. It’s just natural.

  4. My grandson made a crack about getting his hands on grandpa's money when COVID gets him. I talked to my lawyer yesterday and made some changes in my will, but told no one. I want them to keep kissing my ass but they are in for a big surprise...none of my relatives will get a dime. It all goes to local health care groups.

  7. It's questionable how much blame can be placed on Coronavirus, historically Recessions inevitably follow the routine GOP Tax Cuts for the Wealthy, and are brought on by the withdrawal of money from the General Economy that ensues.

    1. It's questionable if you have even a single brain cell, as the entire world economy is reeling from that global epidemic you may have heard something about.

Stick to what you know. Cheetos maybe?

  8. @9:56, I know enough economic history to be aware that the only Tax cut that brought about sustained economic expansion was done in 1962 during the Kennedy Administration, and the subsequent cuts made under GOP Administrations have all been weighted toward being beneficial to the Wealthiest rather than equalized across the board as the ones under JFK.

And I know that each and every one of those "biased" tax cuts has resulted in recessions (Eisenhower=3 , Nixon/Ford=1(plus runaway Inflation), Reagan =1(a doozy), Bush 1 = 1(mild), Bush 2 =1(another almost equal to 1929), Trump = (?).

I also know that there is such a thing as the "Multiplier Effect", that theorizes that each $1.00 put into circulation has the effect of putting $7.50 into the General Economy (I buy something from you, you buy from her, she buys from him, etc.).

BUT, since the "Wealthy" maintain their positions primarily controlling and spending "other people's money", giving them a $1.00 tax cut has the effect of TAKING $7.50 OUT OF CIRCULATION!

This, since our Economy is consumption-driven, slows the Economy, obviously, and unless other factors are bringing about enough expansion to offset that pressure. or if they slow down from having offset it, the result is Recession.

I understand that this does not fit the GOP's "Voodoo Economics Theory", but it certainly fits the Historical record.

But, go ahead and comfort yourself in your "Alternate Reality" and continue to ignore the Real World, because it gets messy out here.

    1. Wow, what a lot of typing to utterly miss the point.

So you don't know about the global pandemic that is challenging nearly every single economy in the world, then? That's definitely happening in the real world. At least for the rest of us; your mileage obviously varies.

To spell it out, this means that it's pretty hard to seriously evaluate the impact of any economic policy due to this special cause. Add to this the onset of a vast system of economic stimuli by a vast patchwork of global economies and organizations and you have a truly tangled mess.

Look into it and get back to us. Or don't. We get it, gosh you hate Republicans.

  9. And yet 10:58 is correct, and the gov is planning to send each of us a check to get the multiplier effect going. Weird.

  12. Trump can try to look (barely) presidential in daily news conferences now, but that doesn't change the fact he ignored this for 10 weeks. No preparation, no coordination, no response. In fact he was bragging that it was nothing and insulted those that were warning him.

The lack of tests, reporting, medical supplies, respirators, pro-active mitigation plans or an economic plan lands squarely on Trump now. Nothing he says changes that fact.
