  1. Nice to see KMBC at least sharing at risk with every one. And there is a risk. if the game is going to go on at least people know there is some legitimate concern. Thank you KMBC!

    1. The college students should be okay. Everybody else needs to think about their overall health before they risk it.

  2. When smiley selfies Lucas and the council gang can't even say no to the endless line of clowns who are constantly looking for favors and taxpayer bucks for themselves, if you think for a minute they'll go head-to-head with the NCAA, you might be interested in beachfront property in Arizona.
The only response to "jump", is how high?
    Momentum!

  7. All those bitching and complaining it should be canceled are losers who never go to the tournament.

If the Chiefs were to be playing the same losers would yell forever if the game were to be canceled.

  8. If we hold the tournament then our hospitals will be overwhelmed with sick patients about 7 days later. If we dont hold the tournament, then it will be a slow trickle into the hospital for the next month and we can manage patients well.

If we hold the tournament, and 2 weeks later you have a heart attack or car wreck - dont expect good, fast service at the hospitals - we will have people lining both sides of our halls on beds - NO PRIVATE ROOMS AVAILABLE! And NO VISITORS! And if you need a ventilator to breath - we WILL NOT HAVE ONE AVAILABLE. You will then die! All because of the tournament! Its a incubator for expodential spread of the virus in KC.

  9. Hey I am going to the tourney! I love hoops, and I am under 30 so no worries. If I get slightly sick and pass it to your old Dad or Mom at the store, and they die from it, well its just their time to go! Hoops reign baby! Its all about sports!

  10. ^^^ 11:03 Wrong Round eye. People with common sense vs Little Sluggers that never grew up and choosing to watch a game(s) over basic reasoning of how not to spread a virus. Have you noticed that Games all over the world have been cancelled ? Ask your mommy to let you out of the basement gopher boy. Peak that head out. Even greedy ass Musicians are cancelling their tours. And that speaks volumes.

  12. This is the only time of the year people come here willingly, of course they’re not going to call off the tournament.

  13. k state and iowa state are worst teams this year. Their fans won't show because they get knocked out early. Then it's all jayhawk fans filling the corona center and p and l. Nothing better than to see those ahole ku fans coughing...sneezing...puking....sniffling...wiping their blue shirts with snot. Oh what a great city!
Lets call off st. pats parade. All 5 of them and everyone stay home and watch the parade on tv with their green hats and corona lights.
yes folks...happy days are here again!

  14. awwww...poor widdle Mizzou fan all jealous of National #1 KU success, while Mizzou , as usual, suuuucked!!

  15. I heard Boston and Ireland cancelled their St Pats parades. And New Rochelle New York in under a complete lockdown. This isnt being treated like the flu. Maybe there is more to it we dont know-and the government is trying to prevent panic. After all, dead people can't complain or vote politicians out of office

  16. FBI sez Bill Self paid those KU players a lot of money and cars. Damn right, there will be a Big 12 tournament, Kansas has got to get a return on their investment.

  17. 9:45 I asked a simple question Who Cares . Apparently no one !

    ReplyDelete
  18. nobody cares if people get sick. even the players. they will miss the final four as they will be sick in bed. I guess then someone will care.

  19. People lives should come before revenues- the stats that I have read are alarming. The fact that we have an young mayor and a county executive that are both green in the arena of public health causes concern.

I went to dinner last night with an healthcare executive that stated ALL Florida hospitals have cancelled elective surgeries. Why? to have beds available for the crisis that is about to be evident. It could quickly overwhelm ANY metro region healthcare system. Why would we want to chance straining our system even further? I agree with comments made by 12:07. Better to lose some short term revenue.

Kansas City is a great town with talented healthcare professionals. Let's try to be reasonable and watch games from the comforts of our homes.
And be cautious until we can actually test individuals.
