KANSAS CITY, MO. (KCTV) --- The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a life-threatening shooting that happened in the 400 block of Spruce Avenue on Monday night. Police reported to the scene shortly before 9 p.m. on a call of shooting. Once there, they found a man suffering from a shooting wound.

Two charged in Brooklyn Ave. Homicide

Seventeen year old Somoan Harter and eighteen year old Kyu Jackson have each been charges with second degree murder and armed criminal action in last week's murder of Deandre Magice. According to court records Police responded to a sound of shots call early last Wednesday morning near 10th and Brooklyn and found the victim in the street.

KCK man pleads guilty to attempted murder, other charges

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City, Kansas, man pleaded guilty on Friday to several charges stemming from events in 2017 and 2018, according to Johnson County officials. Jacob R. Chaney, 29, pleaded guilty in Johnson County District Court to attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault, felon in possession of a firearm, three counts of auto burglary, felony fleeing and eluding, and felony theft.

(AP) - Missouri senators on Monday passed a wide-ranging bill that would ban marijuana-infused candy for medical use, an attempt to ensure children don't accidentally eat the drug. The measure would ban candy, lollipops, cotton candy and fruit- and animal-shaped edibles that could appeal to children.
