  1. Hopefully KCMO hospitals are up to the task. For now most of the people seem to be asked to self-quarantine at home.

  2. some people are aware and civic-minded; many are ill-informed and complacent.

it was the same in italy and spain until almost 1,000 people started to die per day and hospitals were overwhelmed.

The health department said so far this flu season, there have been 10,332 confirmed cases of influenza in Kansas City. The most common flu type is influenza A, with 5,499 cases, but influenza B isn’t too far behind at 4,633.

    SUMMARY: Coronavirus 77...versus...Influenza virus 10,332

  16. It would be interesting to see what percentage of those who have the Covid-19 virus are homosexuals. I am guessing it is disproportionately high. Homosexuals are promiscuous and there immunity systems are frequently compromised.

The stock market is crashing because investors have no confidence in The Dump Administration.

This isn't something that is happening to investors, it's something they are doing to us.

The people selling stock apparently don't believe that the economy is basically sound.

  23. Trump is just the kind of "get sh*t done" president that the country needs at this difficult time. We don't need these politicians that have never had a real job in their lives. Trump's construction and management background and his good instincts (closing the country to Chinese travelers early) has saved thousands of lives here in America. He has the utmost respect from this Independent voter who regrettably voted for Obama.

  25. The tracking agencies gives us infection numbers for the States, Counties and some Cities. The Jackson County numbers in Missouri are growing, do we know where in Jackson County?
    Is there a location map?
Is the cases randomly spread out or are they clustered?
This Would be good information. Might want to know if there is an outbreak up the street in your or
    your families town or neighborhood.

Is this information available? If so please advise where to find or lets us know what you know.

  26. “Construction and management background”! What a joke, he blew thru more money than he inherited, conned his way through New York real estate and stiffed most of his contractors and tradesmen. He should be in jail!!

  27. 919 people died yesterday in italy.

italy is less than one-fifth the size of usa.

so the usa equivalent would be 5,000 deaths a day.

  29. Off topic you fucking morons. Stop the hate and move on children .

  30. If Trump left the pandemic team in place, listened to his intelligence, and used the emergency playbooks available in January; the US would look like South Korea now. Some cases, but each one traced, tracked, and quarantined. Their economy is still going.

Instead, Trump ignored it, denied it, and dismissed it. No screenings at airports or anywhere else. Almost no testing. Now it's widely spread nationally and it has cost us over $2.2 trillion in new federal spending so far and the entire country is shutdown with millions unemployed.

Inaction has always proven to be extremely expensive and that is the result of Trump alone. He is costing us dearly.

  42. Now there are many more cases of covid19 in NYC than the flu. By next weekend it will 100x the annual flu numbers in the city. So people can stop saying there are more flu cases. Not anymore. Try saying that in NYC right now and you will be looked at as if your insane. And there is a 78% chance you will get it too. So plan now how you will manage for 14 days in bed. Its here!

  48. Do all the Dems still want to give free healthcare to every illegal alien? What a joke that is. We're already in debt up to our ears trying to save our own citizens from dying and the idea of any freebies to non-citizens looks like an even bigger joke now and just shows how dumb the Dems are in what they believe. All Dems should give all their toilet paper to an illegal immediately to show how much they care. Then they can use the KC Star's thin and meaningless liberal rag for their own wiping.
