  5. The comments are as valuable as the recommendations. Hawaiian Bros Island Grill isn't Asian and isn't worth a visit. The assortment of Vietnamese restaurants in Gladstone are a welcome addition but neither the food nor the service is good. Columbus Park Ramen Shop is wonderful in concept but the menu is 4 items and the actual restaurant has the acoustics of a disco. Spices Asian Restaurant is close to home but the owner is hateful on a good day and the food isn't good. Rhetorical, but a breakdown of the restaurants based on location would be helpful. Waldo Thai Place is a 45 minute drive from the Vietnamese options in Gladstone. Does one really drive 45 minutes each way for a sandwich? I really do wish someone would actual do a review of the better options for Asian food in Kansas City. Or perhaps there are no better options. I at at iPho Tower Vietnamese-French Bistro on Broadway last week and it was good. Not clear how the good options don't make the list but the bad options do make the list. Nguyen Pho & Grill in River Market is considered one of the best Vietnamese options in Kansas City but it never makes the list of restaurants.

  6. KC doesn't have any outstanding Viet restaurants. While you are spouting food recommendations. Entry level viet at best.
