Hy-Vee to close Kansas City fulfillment center, lay off nearly 600
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Hy-Vee will shutter one of its fulfillment centers in Kansas City, Missouri, later this month, impacting nearly 600 workers. The Iowa-based grocery chain will "permanently discontinue filling orders" at its fulfillment centers, including the one at 8700 Elmwood Ave. in KCMO, the week of March 23, the company said in a statement.
