Empty Shelves Scare Kansas City Silly Middle-Class Despite Assurances

To be fair, maybe the doom & gloomers are correct . . . Given that people have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning of the world. HOWEVER.

Some of the hoarding has been insightful given that we've seen cleared out toilet paper aisle RIGHT NEXT to a bunch of cheap facial tissues still mostly stocked . . . As people rely on MSM for their wiping etiquette. To be fair, we've got a hose in the basement if this thing really goes south.

  1. We shop at the high end places. We buy full trays of beef and salmon, cases of fine wine, we spent 10K in one trip! Life is good!

The threat of large earthquakes here should be a reason for people to have extra canned food etc. Earthquakes would shut off power, knock down bridges over 1-70 blocking it and trucks could not gas up without the right power to pumps. If you dont keep 2 weeks supply of canned good your just not too smart.
