EDGEMOOR SEYZ NEW KCI STILL ON SCHEDULE DESPITE COVID-19 PANDEMIC!!!

Another Kansas City assurance after Winter obviously slowed down the pace of work.

Thankfully, local news and City Hall politicos are too busy do much fact checking.

More importantly . . . This was a wasted opportunity for the developer to explain their sluggish pace.

Here's their side of the story dutifully delivered from our pro-biz friends . . .

Developer: Coronavirus hasn't disrupted $1.5B KCI project

Money line:

"The Edgemoor team has taken a variety of measures recommended by the CDC and OSHA to protect our employees and everyone working on the KCI New Terminal jobsite," Geoffrey Stricker, senior managing director for Edgemoor, said in a statement. "We are actively monitoring new developments and will continue to operate in accordance with guidance from government and public health officials."

  7. If council member Teresa Loar had been on the right side of the airport issue the new single terminal would now be finished and open for business. Instead she bitched and ran her mouth about renovating an obsolete design causing huge costly delays. In the end, she wasn’t even at the council session when the final single terminal vote was made. She could have made one final protest on the record, but instead was so pouty and cranky she didn’t get her way she traveled to California on the day of the vote.
