Cowtown Teachable Moment: KCPS Shuts Down International Trips

Important bit of administrative crackdown and an indication that the provisionally accredited school system is learning more quickly than usual:

KCPS cancels all international trips

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City, Missouri, Public Schools have canceled class trips to Japan and Costa Rica amid the coronavirus pandemic. The district is monitoring coronavirus at the state level as well, but has not canceled anything at this time, according to a district spokesperson.

  3. Why are we sending kids overseas? Thats stupid, even without a virus. They should stay here and learn. They internet can teach you about different cultures. We are not a public travel agent
