Mayor introduces ordinance to Extend e-tax deadline in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Mayor Quinton Lucas has introduced an ordinance to extend the Kansas City earnings tax payment deadline from April 15 to July 15, mirroring federal and state tax payment deadline extensions.

  1. They ought to extend the "live here work here penalty" forever. We should be encouraging, not discouraging, businesses and residents to locate in KCMO.

  2. Free stuff for everyone from a city government with the most onerous regressive tax system around.
    High sales taxes.
    And the e-tax is the worst, right out of the very first dollar of someone's earnings.
    Making believe that they're looking out for low-income folks and leveling the playing field, while they actually are digging deeper holes each and every day.

  3. They’ll freeze the one percent till July to make them look like they’re being nice to us because they already know they’re screwing us with the 7 1/2% back door tax. They think we’re stupid and forgot that already. What is it with dimwits anyway? They can’t believe anyone doesn’t believe them or trust them anymore. I guess they’ve gotten away with it for so long they don’t know how to be honest anymore.

  5. It will be a news filled decade FOR the Metro area. There will be recorded low tax revenues .A convention hotel that will go bankrupt. POWER AND LIGHT DISTRICT PAYMENTS They will start streaming there meetings .They don't need a hotel. And I'm sure tonyskansascity will have breaking news.
