Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City has barred medical staff from wearing face masks continuously through shifts during the COVID-19 pandemic and has threatened disciplinary action if staff defy the order.

ReplyDeleteDoes not make sense to tell employees they should not be wearing masks. Even if they bring their own N95 mask from home, if it gives them comfort to do their jobs just let them. All that tells me is that the Corporation cares more about image and not the health of its employees or the fact that they may spread it to other employees or their family. When other Hospitals in the area do not care if employees wear masks and some other hospitals are requiring employees to wear masks. Another question is about supply. How does a company so large have a supply issue? All the money they have and never bothered to stock up on proper PPE?
