BREAKING!!! HALF OF KANSAS CITY COUNCIL SELF-QUARANTINE AMID CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC!!!
Local leadership takes precautions to avoid the worsening pandemic.
Here's the latest . . .
Half of Kansas City Council in self-isolation after potential exposure to coronavirus
At least six members of the Kansas City Council will self-quarantine this week because of possible exposure to the novel coronavirus, the mayor’s office said Tuesday.
Mayor Quinton Lucas’ spokeswoman, said that six of the 12 council members were self-quarantined but that they were not exhibiting symptoms of the disease, COVID-19.
Auto-hater and Council dude Bunch was the first to launch a sick tweet but said it was just a cold. There are a number of theories about travel sparking the preventative measures.
A few of the quarantined: "Councilwoman Ryana Parks-Shaw, Councilman Dan Fowler, Councilman Eric Bunch."
Councilman Dan Fowler and Councilwoman Ryana Parks-Shaw both attended that conference and said they were still self-quarantining despite showing no symptoms.
Worst quote of the day:
Fowler said he has no symptoms and would be “just really, really surprised” if he had contracted COVID-19.
Sadly, this won't change much for locals who don't see their council members outside of hype tweets.
