Really, I'm new to Kansas City. Has water ever been cheap in this city? I only flush the toilet when there's poop. my bill is still $75 minimum. $150 or more, easy, in the summer. I learned last summer that I can't water my vegetable garden. Unless I wanted to pay over $200 for my water bill. I just thought it was expensive. Looking for a real answer. Was water ever cheap in this town?

  3. Bad timing on the driver's part.
That pipe was scheduled to be replaced in 2050.
And smiley selfies Lucas will get on this just as soon as the ribbon-cutting and the grand opening of the "convention" hotel is over.
And the city's taxpayers help out by paying $5 million for the bond payment shortfall.
    Momentum!

  5. 7:12 they’ll fix the pipes after the airport and the new stadium we don’t need gets built, in about 15to 20 years from now.

But your guess is probably more accurate.

  6. Actually the first comment is correct. The water bills were artificially low due to lack of infrastructure maintenance. The feds stepped in after years and years of notice and the end result is a $4.5 billion bill. Yes Kansas City would be a more expensive place to live over the decades with infrastructure maintenance; but now the core of the city is being abandoned and rot at the core is rot all over...
