EXCEPTIONAL Read from a local policy expert offers some great STATS & INSIGHT whilst representing the right-wing tax fighter think tank position on this topic.

Meanwhile, we're waiting for any data-driven evidence that this plan might work besides hopeful chatter from politicos amid election year.

There's no such thing as a free bus

(D-Mass.) recently told a progressive audience at Howard University that, “Public transit should be free.” This is just the latest call for free transit; the issue has been bubbling up around the country in the past few months, started in large part by some misreporting of events in Kansas City, Missouri.

You decide . . .

It's simple.

There is no such thing as a free ride. It's a tax increase in disguise.

By the KC Star about something the local government is trying to get away with?
But that's what the press release said!

Free bus. KC thugs will destroy them in less than a month. This is a bad plan and what's worse is that there's no money for it.

The leadership isn't looking out for the best interests of the city, the city for which they are paid to look out for the best interests of. Yes the leader of the transit authority should be fired. The council members should be embarrassed. for misrepresenting both the finances of the city and the city as a whole. And Mayor Selfie should go take a selfie where the sun don't shine.

I am still confused. $8-12 million required for free bus but the budget includes $4.5 million. KC MO city hall pixie dust to make up the rest?
