Kansas City ad wizards are hard at work trying to line up the deal of the century for this Spring as new ownership works to impress fans.

The sitch for those who don't know already . . .
"Since Meghan and Harry stepped back from their senior royal duties, they're no longer going to trademark Sussex Royal. This means that all of their trademark applications, the recent redesign of their website, their merchandise, and yes, their Instagram handle, will have to change."
Now, since Harry & Meghan want to be financially independent from the Royal family and seem open unique branding opportunities, this potential partnership has captured the imagination of many local ad game denizens.
Here's the word from a Midtown Kansas City advertising executive who messaged back to TKC on the condition of anonymity but has worked with the team on several different occasions on a variety of promotions over the course of his 40-year-career:
"Harry & Meghan would be a hit in Kansas City. There's no question about it. A tie-in with the Royals, done tastefully, would really welcome the couple to the United States. This would connect them to America's pastime and offer a fun branding opportunity that could also work with their charity fundraising as well. If the new management really wants to dazzle fans and get back into championship form, they're going to have to start thinking outside of the box. This is a good start . . . "
Better than a rumored downtown stadium, this marketing pitch might also inspire Kansas City fans to overlook two consecutive 100-game-loss seasons.
