Parent, student react to Indian Woods teacher resignation
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The news of an Indian Woods Middle School teacher's resignation is a blow to a group of gifted education students. 41 Action News sat down with Kim and Gia Glackin Tuesday to discuss the departure of Amanda Coffman, who taught gifted-education students in the Shawnee Mission School District.
Amanda Coffman simply took a dump on those she claims were so important. Screw you Amanda, I hope nobody hires your ass.
ReplyDeleteQuit before the semester was over. They should be able to sue her.
ReplyDeleteBoth of you are wrong, the board is full of incompetent and petulant morons who think they are more powerful and way more important than they are, all the teachers need to walk out on these idiots. It really is time to put assholes on school boards in their place, the dumpster
ReplyDeleteShe can go to grandview, hickman mills, center, raytown, or even sleaze scummit for a job. No problem.
ReplyDeleteGood job Amanda. You sure showed them what you were made of... shit.
ReplyDeleteTeachers have it pretty damn easy. Working for 9 months and getting paid for 12.
I was married to a teacher... she was always bitching about not getting paid enough. Yeah right, pretty cushy job, good pay, lots of breaks and a long summer vacation. Put in your time and get a nice pension too. Pretty good gig if you ask me.
For the record, teachers work 10 months, but they are paid over 12. By all rights, teachers should receive summer pay at the end of the school year as that is when their worknperiod ends, but they don't.
DeleteSmall government, low taxes, poor funding. This is what happens.
ReplyDelete9:34 you are clueless. First off it's against the law for teachers to strike in Kansas. If you hate the job so bad then quit. They they can go to work somewhere else making even less money. Now that makes real good sense doesn't it. And clowns like you promote teachers leaving the classroom. It's not about the students it's clearly about the greedy teachers.
ReplyDeleteSchool Board is a bunch of super left wing feminists who want open borders reparations health care for illegals transgender special privileges. They elected Sharice. But give the teachers a point five percent raise they all become Kansas Chamber of Commerce budget hawks. Total hypocrisy.
ReplyDelete10:12 you are clueless if you believe your own garbage, clowns like you make normal people cringe at your stupidity. Clearly you don’t what the hell your talking about. Idiot.
ReplyDelete^^Prove what they said is wrong assclown. Just don't talk shit like a bitch does.
ReplyDeleteThe last and only time a teacher strike occurred in Kansas was in 1973 in Topeka. Unlike in Chicago, Topeka teachers went against state law in striking. Many teachers lost their jobs in the aftermath of the strike, and many believed it damaged the union more than it benefited it. Air traffic controllers tried it and like 10 thousand or so of them were all fired by Reagan and banned from ever working for the government again. 9:67 is correct, teachers around here have a pretty good gig.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the time when Bluto (Animal House Movie) tried to rally the troupes out the the frat house to cause havoc; but nobody followed him....
ReplyDeleteThe terms of the unilateral imposed SM contract provided that teachers could quit now without repercussion. Since they were shoving this onto teachers without their voted approval, they had to allow that option.
ReplyDeleteYou all would know that if you read any details or knew anything at all. But you don't. Just idiots making idiotic comments.
I didn't realize she was a gifted-eduction teacher. I was a part of that program since elementary school. These teachers have the absolute lowest number of students possible per class and are left no real cirriculuum to follow. Each student has set their own goals through an IEP meeting once a year. This "class" was nothing more than a credited study hall. The fact that she feels overworked is a joke.
ReplyDeleteWell,bye......
