American Public Expects For Politeness From Prez?!?!

Washington's 'Rules of Civility' could teach Trump lessons on insults and fake news

It only took America 244 years to go from "Honest Abe" and "I cannot tell a lie" to 16,241 false or misleading claims and a reality show State of the Union address that wasn't quite real. 6. Don't care how 'civil' George Washington was. for me the most important thing about him was he was a rich Virginia slave holder his entire life. He was only president 8 years and a general for, I think about five. He and Martha were very careful about attending the nations capital in philadelphia because pennsylvania had a law that emancipated slaves after six months in the state. why do you think the site for DC was selected? answer because it was between two slave states (maryland, virginia). slaveholder's problem solved and their slave property made secure. -radish
