Backstory . . . They want to give the press release spin to the newspaper first in order to manage the story. Remember that the time around the Royals parade cost taxpayers $350K.

Exact cost of Chiefs parade still unknown
KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Yesterday was a long day of celebration for fans across the state, including emergency crews and waste management. How much did the city pay for a victory parade, though? KCTV5 News has been asking for a final number over the last week.
I thought the NFL was supposed to pay for it.
ReplyDelete^^someone will. Remember, sponsorships paid 300K of the 350K Royals parade. That's easy enough to look up. Tony just wants to troll.
ReplyDelete^^^^^^Prove that Mr Big Mouth
ReplyDeleteWell Mr Big Mouth all I find is this statement.Sponsors covered $300,000 of the $350,000 bill for the Royals' parade, according to a press release from the city.
ReplyDeleteOh wait you mean the same city that claims 25 million visitors come here every year? The same city that wants you to believe that millions ride the toy choo choo each year?
City Hall has lied to the people so much you can't believe a damn thing they say.
A review by USA TODAY Sports of recent championship parades found that the costs of celebrations range from the low six-figures to nearly $3 million.
I'm more adapt to believe this statement than anything from 12th and Oak!
"It’s likely that this has a really important, unexpected impact on (city) budgets," said Brad Humphreys, a professor of economics at West Virginia University. "You can’t plan for these things. It’s not like you can build into your city budget, 'Oh, we’re going to have the Super Bowl parade.'"
It polly came out less than Traivs Kelce's bar tab.
ReplyDeleteKCTV5 says, "We asked the city about the Cost of the Royals parade in 2015 and it’s working to get us those numbers."
ReplyDeleteIf what 1:7 says is true then why does the city need to work on getting such numbers? 1:19 is right the city lies about everything.
No Chuck I'm sure Budweiser picked up that tab.
ReplyDeleteThe city of Kansas City pays for the parade. When the chiefs won they are finished it's the city that puts the parade on and the city who pays for it. Nowhere is there funds from other sources that pay except when the royals had their parade Chevy used their trucks to drive the royals on the parade route so that was free to the city and helped Chevy sell the trucks used in the parade. The chiefs may have had the same thing, but for the most part the city pays, the NFL does not. The military pays for the fly overs during games.
@1:19 well Mrs. Rottencrotch, here's another link showing that the city only paid 50K for the Royals. Oh, goddamn...I bet this leaves a mark on your wrinkly ass!

Long as it doesn't come out of bike lane funds it's OK.
ReplyDeleteProperty Taxes are paying for it. Otherwise known as "The General Fund"
ReplyDeleteMiriam Hennosy forgot to send the receipts to the NFL, so Jaxco will just raise property taxes to pay for it.
ReplyDeleteMim has other things on her mind.
ReplyDelete1:39, a Biz Journal story is far from any real ground shaking real news or facts. So you still not proved a damn thing. It's not even a locally owned rag. Their figures do not match any other figures so you not proved a damn thing.
ReplyDelete^^and yet it is a fact as you have provided nothing to support your argument that they didn't. Simple, I win you lose! Now blow me. Bitch.

ReplyDeleteHer lover?
While it is a Private Business and the metro had tons of expenses due to it . The return will be hundreds of millions of dollars. People are not coming to KC for the murders, HIV, Meth problems and to watch your ten you old boy play Annie in the school play. Ask the stores how much they made due to it, then ask them if Little Annie boy makes them any money.

ReplyDeletewho paid for all the beer?
2/7/20, 2:44 PM Married couple in Chicago. We pay for her cybersex. She does both of them. All The Star has to do is ask for the records from her computer and phone. Its what Demorats do.
ReplyDeleteShe licks Teresa White, so Frank will never do anything about it. Takes the duty away from him.
ReplyDeleteDemocrats are such perverts.
ReplyDeleteNow it is clear why our taxes go up.
ReplyDelete^^Whaaa!! If you don't like it...die or move. Fixed it for you.
ReplyDeleteshut up Angie
ReplyDeleteAngie Jeffries and Miriam Hennosy fight reform. They support Theresa Galvin who only wants to hire patronage. Shame!
ReplyDeleteGarvin is hot.
ReplyDelete"Mim" is an old pervert.
ReplyDeleteMiriam is married to a morbidly obese sack of shit, so no one blames her for taking a lover. She just should not do it on County Time. Records show that she does.
ReplyDeleteSmiley selfies Lucas said they couldn’t delay the parade one more day because he said and I quote “ it will cost the city $2 million dollars more if they wait another day”
ReplyDeleteThere’s your start to how much it cost, the only question is when security actually started prepping downtown.
Why didn't Squintward direct the buses down MLK Blvd so the riders could rightfully restore the Paseo signs?

ReplyDeleteDemocrats run KC --so--it's all FREE!
I wish you all knew what you were talking about. The City paid $100k into the budget for the parade via NTDF funding that is now broke because of Megan Crigger and her & Sly's love for Open Spaces.
ReplyDeleteProof...
http://cityclerk.kcmo.org/LiveWeb/Documents/Document.aspx?q=LANz%2fJ%2b3GOgecxvcZeXFePN336C39Uz1Hs%2bE7JJuDwr%2fMGXEpblx%2faZwc3Wb8MYX
The City paid a hell of a lot more than $100k for the parade. And yes, Crigger is a perpetual screw up but no one will do anything about it.
