Kansas AG sues over counterfeit Chiefs, Super Bowl gear

TOPEKA, Kan. - The top prosecutor in Kansas is suing over counterfeit Kansas City Chiefs and Super Bowl merchandise. Attorney General Derek Schmidt announced in a news release Friday that two lawsuits were filed Thursday in Shawnee County District Court. The suits come as the Chiefs prepare to play the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in the championship game.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- A 29-year-old man has been found guilty for an April 2018 triple killing in Kansas City, Kansas. A Wyandotte County jury on Thursday found MonDale Douglas guilty of three counts of premeditated first-degree murder in the deaths of 51-year-old Edward Rawlins, 46-year-old David Rawlins and 40-year-old Addrin Coats.

Shawnee woman sentenced in deadly impaired driving crash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Shawnee woman was sentenced to more than three years in prison on Friday for an impaired driving crash that killed a woman and injured her husband. Vicky Walter, 57, was sentenced in Johnson County Court to 38 months in prison on a charge of DUI involuntary manslaughter.

Northland man shoots person he believed came to rob him

The man told police two men came to the house and he feared he was about to get robbed, according to a police news release. He shot at the two men and struck one of them, police said. The two men fled in a car, but stopped a few minutes later on the exit ramp from southbound U.S.
