Kansas City Classic McGonigle's Sold And Turned Into Christian Meat Market

"You might have seen the Kansas City Business Journal story today that the iconic McGonigles Meat Market has sold to a group named Fareway. They are Christian valued and are closed on Sunday like Chik-fil-A. Funny that after we refer to pickup or hookup bars as "meat markets", the new owners of McGonigles will be a Christian meat market."

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The owner of McGonigle's Market located on the corner of 79th Street and Ward Parkway has announced the store is being sold to Fareway Meat & Grocery. Owner Mike McGonigle said he wanted to make sure his customers and his people were well taken care of.

    From looking at their ads at other locations they sure seem to like selling a lot of alcohol beverages.

  7. I like mcgonigles and I go there once a month and have for years. Worried everything's going to change now and the fact they're liquidating everything seems to validate those concerns
