Kansas City Budget Cuts Entrepreneur Dream

Actually, a worthwhile bit of cost savings from the new administration that doesn't seem to value biz class hype as much as the last . . . Here's the story from the other side of the equation:

Mayor's budget nixes $300K for Keystone innovation development at 18th and Troost

A proposed city budget for 2020-2021 signals a further shift in perspective for the Kansas City mayor's office, removing significant funding for the planned Keystone innovation district project at 18th Street and Troost Avenue.

  5. Hey Tony the four corners project by MAC is getting ready to start at Amour and Troost. It's not only going to swallow part of Central Hyde Park but it has insufficient parking for the amount of stores and apartments, thanks to Sly James and Quinton Lucas their pockets are more important.

Congrats on your new neighbors my Hyde Park special friends, and congrats on your property values getting flushed, hope it doesn't stop up your toilet.

  7. 1:03 you are exactly right and the useless neighborhood association thinks its a good deal - idiots. Many of us have been preparing to dump these properties this spring, especially after the property tax fiasco. Parking is getting horrible already and soon will be nightmare level.

  8. "which was described as “a $1.5 million four-year plan to implement an entrepreneurial business accelerator through the creation of co-working spaces, partnering businesses with education, and strengthening existing business in Kansas City.”

It's a building, nothing more. Stop trying to bullshit us into thinking it's something more.

Why does the city pay for any of this?
