Kansas City Budget Conversation Underway

We recently posted a guide to KCMO budget talks . . . Here's more info on the meet & greet tradition:

Kansas City Budget Office requests public feedback

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City, Missouri, Office of Budget and Planning has some upcoming sessions for residents to voice their opinions. The city is calling them "Speak Easy Sessions," and the upcoming sessions will focus on the proposed city budget. The first one is Saturday at Northgate Middle School from 9-11a.m.

  1. What the frick difference does it make? The city doesn't listen to the people! Make your voice heard???? Now that's funny! You want to make your voice heard??? Get some good Republican candidates and go to the polls! These idiots love to make you think they care but all they do is talk and they know people fall for this crap. Stop talking and start pushing back!

  3. Thought about attending the Saturday hearing in the Northland, but, on second thought, came to my senses.

These are simply PR tactics to give the false impression that 12 & Oak values (gives a shit about) resident input. They are aware of thousands of ignored citizen complaints, across many venues, this blog being one of them.

All (informed) voters could easily put together a rather lengthy list of blatant wasteful expenditures, for which, the city never apologizes.

As suggested in another comment, as long as voters are too lazy to pay attention and keep re-electing dims, nothing will change.

This newest Zero Vision (auto hating) scam is just another effort to reach into our pockets for more wasted bucks. Should be named "Bike/Walk lite".

If Q is at the hearing, we may get to see more smiling selfies.
