KANSAS CITY 2020 HOMICIDE #20: DEADLY GUNFIRE ECHOED THROUGH DOWNTOWN!!!

Our cowtown love hangover is REAL and whilst most of us might be dwelling over broken romance, loneliness or the Wu-Tang flu -- The situation near the loop is far more serious.

Skeptics might argue that this incident was outside the loop but it was really just a stone's throw away from all of the redeveloped condos and a few of our readers wrote-in to say that they heard the gunshots.

To wit . . .

DEADLY GUNFIRE ECHOED THROUGH KANSAS CITY IN THE EARLY MORNING AMID THE AFTERGLOW OF VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

It was actually a pretty violent night in Kansas City with one shooting downtown and another near MLK Blvd.

Here's the roundup:

KCTV5: Police - 1 dead, 1 seriously injured after 2 shootings overnight

KSHB: Police said the victim shot at East Ninth Street and Troost Avenue died at the hospital just before 9 a.m.

Fox4: Anyone with information about this homicide is urged to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

Remember that Winter is usually when Kansas City homicides are at their lowest number given the cold, holiday season good vibes left over and fewer people moving around in the cold.

Moreover, it's important to realize that 20 homicides this year STILL puts KCMO at a 5-year-record-high pace and this is a time when a new Mayor, Super Bowl victory and relatively good economic times are expected to lift spirits and bring peace. That hasn't happened yet.

  6. As soon as smiley selfies Lucas gets done signing the city checks to cover the (already) shortage to make the bond payments on the new convention hotel, he'll get right on this homicide thing.
    First things first, after all!
"Mothers in Charge" just got another $75K.
2020 is already starting off to be a record year for murders in KCMO.

  7. No one cares. No one.

Not their families, homies, community, or the politicians who claim they do.

    But should anyone care anyway?

  10. I wonder if (((The Interurban Arthouse))) will be doing a mural depicting these culturally-enriching events. Perhaps a mural of Abby Martin being banned from a paid speaking engagement at Georgia Southern University because she refused to sign a pledge of allegiance to (((Israel))). With so much "cultural enrichment" going on in America, it's probably difficult for (((them))) to keep up.
