Groundbreaking New Sheriff In Town

Posted in fairness, a nice profile of the County elected official who seems to have toned down his Twitter style and has kept the department running on his way to what should be an easy reelection . . . Take a look:

Darryl Forte protects and serves Kansas City while breaking racial barriers

Darryl Forte has spent decades in police work, including more than 30 years at the Kansas City Police Department where he became the first African American police chief before becoming first African American sheriff in the history of the Jackson County.

  1. That’s funny right there!

  2. So he let a female deputy remain on the department after two questionable shootings before she finally shot a third person and was charged. He allows a sergeant who was fired by Raytown for a car chase that killed an innocent person stay on the department and even awards him. He has people working for the department who were hired by the previous Sheriff who didn’t even fill out an application. He promoted a person to Major that put his head in the sand when Sharp was doing all his dirt. The list goes on....

  3. Darryl Forte protects and serves Kansas City???

In 2017, Forte took a half-million dollars in accrued overtime, vacation, sick days, etc., after abruptly announcing his retirement. This was in addition to his already very generous retirement package.

He publicly said he was going to attend law school.

Instead, he started his next public taxpayer funded employment scam after talking to his buddy, the corrupt Jackson County Executive Frank White Jr. He quickly alienated the Sheriff's Dept., exacerbated the tumultuous tenure of the Lee's Summit Equity Superintendent, and failed on the Jackson County jail.

Three years after Forte's windfall payout from KCMO, the City still has NO control over their independent contractors, the Police and Fire unions. They're on their 4th Fire Chief in a few short years. No meaningful changes have been made to rein in the out-of-control budgets of Police and Fire.

The Mayor, Council, and City Manager suffer from Stockholm Syndrome, in which they've come to bond with their captors.

  4. How can a Sheriff's department hope to be taken seriously when it's being ran by a crook.

  5. The highest paid thug footsoldier of the local corruption class. A diversity hire disaster who can't figure out a razor.
