The Littlest Bake Shop is Kansas City's First Completely Gluten-Free and Vegan Bakery

When Iris Green moved to Kansas City from Los Angeles to be closer to family, she was already an accomplished baker, cookbook author and entrepreneur. Interested in opening a small shop where she could sell her from-scratch, small-batch baked goods, she met Zaid Consuegra Sauza and Lydia Palma, now owners of Pirate's Bone Burgers in the Crossroads Arts District, who offered Green the space that once housed Pirate's Bone Coffee in Brookside.

  1. To be closed with 18 months. All these specialty shops come on strong . Make it the first year and land up another area of blight. Cupcakes for Bernie supporters only, Axe throwing for the bearded boys and their twit gals or scrapbooking for people on subsidization. Mass Street in Lawrence is a great test bed for Detroit type failure. 11 closed shops in just one block. Yet opening a shoe store with a rainbow LGBT theme. Crystal ball says busy for 4 months. Then you can put a fork in them.
