Children's Mercy Hospital set to lose funding in proposed KCMO budget
KANSAS CITY, Mo.-- - When Kansas City, Missouri's proposed 2020-21 budget is unveiled Thursday, at least one organization will receive $500,000 less than previous years. The proposed budget calls for a reduction of that amount in city funding to Children's Mercy Hospital.
The bigger question is why were we giving a private money making hospital any money at all?
ReplyDeleteIf we can give money to Clark Hunt we can sure as hell give money to CM.
ReplyDeleteCM is a scam. I know from experience. They bill in a way which multiplies co-pays and your insurance is powerless to do anything. People think because they have 'children' in the name that CM is the only place to get pediatric care but that is just not true. CM is dead to me.
ReplyDelete12:13 Really? I have never heard that. Hmmmm...
ReplyDeleteI helped at a charity event last year for CM and the people were really nice.
Perhaps they could eliminate the tv ads promoting the hospital. Low hanging fruit if they need to make cut backs.
ReplyDelete1:31, well Chuck you have heard it now. You think you are an expert because you "helped at a charity even last year" and "the people were really nice"?
ReplyDeleteDamn you are stupid.
Interesting that CMH pays $500,000 a year for the "naming rights" to a baseball park in Kansas.
ReplyDeleteYep, pretty hard to argue against that strong anecdotal evidence that Chuck offers up.
ReplyDeleteWe can paint lots of bike lanes with that savings. I'm all for free Spandex for everyone.
ReplyDeleteBreaking News...Mayor Pete makes his final push and cums from behind....now, back to the City of Fountains.
Children’s Mercy is rolling in dough. They don’t need City money. Truman should get cut, too, as long as they pay their CEO $1m plus, and have tens of thousands of $$ in original art on the office walls (unless Bluford took it).
ReplyDeleteRevenge for their presence in Kansas, pure and simple. Missouri is such trash.
ReplyDeleteIf Childrens Mercy is set to lose money that means I might get to work on a new shiney Fire Truck YAY!!!! Thanks mayor Bernie Q
