TKC QUESTION: WILL POLITICAL ADS RUIN KANSAS CITY CHIEFS SUPER BOWL?!?

The big game is nothing more than a big commercial and this election year politics takes center stage and threatens to eclipse the return to glory for the Kansas City Chiefs.

To wit . . .

WILL PREZ TRUMP REELECTION AND IMPEACHMENT FIGHT OVERSHADOW SUPER BOWL GLORY?!?!?

To be fair, as we noted last night, the Chiefs seem to be enjoying some Red State love given a great deal of acrimony targeting "Nancy Pelosi's 49ers" but the reality is that the big audience for the big game is a target for American political pandering . . . Here are a few more news links on the topic that make this contest less fun for the people who watch it for the commercials . . . Check the link line-up from "many sides" of the debate . . .

  1. There will be more political ads this year than every before but I don't think that will ruin it. Instead, it will give people a real chance to go to the restroom without missing anything good.

  2. Not so sure about that last link. Actually, the debate about censorship in the Super Bowl is right on the money and needs to be addressed. Republicans couldn't get away with the kind of attacks that Bloomberg is running.

    1. ^^^ Maybe but they're not effective, won't help the candidate and only serve to rally his base. Going negative is always a sign of desperation.

Commercials have made watching television a frustrating experience. Commerical breaks used to be 59 seconds, now they can be five minutes. It's hard to ignore them because they are always louder than the program.

If I watch the game, it won't be to see the new commercials. That's just dumb.

    2. Byron, you’re such a dolt. A welfare-cheating dolt. Commercials are almost always 30 seconds, sometimes 60. They are never 5 minutes. You’re too broke to buy anything so you’re no one’s target audience.

  17. When is Tony going to start covering more about Rep. David's vote for impeachment? Had Yoder still been in office, the media scrutiny he would have received for voting "no" would have been overwhelming. David's vote is accepted by local media and is a non-story. She needs to be held accountable!!!!
