TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY TUNES OUT OF PREZ TRUMP IMPEACHMENT!!!

We'll have to wait for official numbers but for now we're getting a bunch of notes from ANGST-Y KANSAS CITY WATCHERS upset about their daytime programming interrupted.

For those who want to watch or listen in . . .

KCUR 89.3 Carries Senate Impeachment Trial Live On Air

Bold & The Beautiful rebroadcast 1:37 a.m. CBS interrupted daytime shows for impeachment trial coverage

Here's the funniest note sent our way given that the rest of them were laced with far too much profanity to share . . .

"I voted for Trump but this is ridiculous. If this B.S. is going to be on EVERY station all day long. Then you can have him! It's not worth it. Tired of this nonsense on air all day long. It doesn't make sense to pay for so many channels but half of them are covering the exact same thing. What's next? Instead of the Super Bowl, we'll have to watch another impeachment special?

"No thank you!"

Sadly, this blog and 99% of the nation is powerless to do anything about the impeachment hysteria and so we share some informative news links from "many sides" to provide some additional perspective:

Fidget Spinners, Pacing, Note-Taking: Staying Awake In The Senate Chamber

Around dinnertime on Tuesday, just about four hours into the impeachment trial of President Trump, Sen. Jim Risch, R-Idaho, did not look enthralled by House Democrats' presentations. In fact, he looked the opposite. Eyes closed, he was slumped over and appeared to be snoozing. Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Sen.

Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, one of President Donald Trump's most vocal congressional allies, praised House Democrats for the way they presented the case against Trump in his impeachment trial. The Democrats made their case to the public as if it were "cable news," Gaetz told Politico, commending their use of multimedia during the trial.

Opinion | Trump's Best Impeachment Lawyer Is Trump

Following the maxims laid down by his attorney and mentor, the late Roy Cohn, he's brushed aside the truth, he's brushed aside the letter of the law, he's refused to apologize, and he's launched counterattack after counterattack. "Where's my Roy Cohn?" Trump bellowed early in his presidency when Attorney General Jeff Sessions failed to protect him from his enemies.

  1. The acquittal is for sure. Just a matter of time.

  2. Americans under the age of 30 don't vote. So their opinion counts for zip.
Hey kids, the old farts will determine your next president. Think about that.

  3. Adam schiffless has done nothing but lie, the latest lie is he says that the Ukraine didn’t interfere in the 2016 election, it was proven in 2017 by the Ukrainian courts that they did, and it was against trump. That’s the whole reason he’s lying about it because there’s a chance the dims are behind it, notably Hillary. It could be more about the billions of dollars and how portions of it was “redistributed” into private bank accounts but at this rate we’ll nevar know who or why.

  4. Its not an impeachment, it’s a shit show, we all know how it’s gonna end so why are they even bothering.

  5. You Trump creeps have lost your mind or crapped your diapers. Thank heaven that we can't smell you butt stains. The orange Cheeto is obviously guilty and what you dirt farmers don't see is that you look horrible supporting such a poor excuse for a human. You have abandoned the higher ground and any morals in supporting this guy, you've just committed to rolling around in the muck with the rest of us.

Sold you ethics to a reality tv show host and barely got anything in return. Stock gains for super wealthy, 20 miles of useless wall and some mean tweets. I guess that's all of your dignity was worth. Not sad. Typical.

    3. @11:08 is dreaming about winning stocks if he's bragging about them on a blog. Keep dreaming about those gains from stuff you don't own. That skimpy 401K isn't going to help you when your healthcare expenses burn through it in two weeks. Putting your faith in the market is a suckers game but it's all hypothetical to Trumpers living on disability checks.

    4. Care to be specific aside from your visceral dislike Davos? That's old news, and the impeachment is about actual crimes.

  6. Trump wins reelection, none of the Democrats can really seem to beat him, They are only good at sabotaging each other.

  9. 11:03 PM Unfortunately for you, you are going to be just as bitter after the election as you are now.

Does it make you feel superior to name call and talk down to half of this nation who voted anti-Democrat?

A Democrat in the White House would be far worse than an offensive Republican and a lot of people agree.

  14. @12:49 PM. That's odd. He was legally elected President under our nations long standing system.

Nobody is denying the facts, but your position is sour grapes and that's a fact too.

Don't like it, change it for future elections.
Can't retro it just because your gal didn't win under current system.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It'll be interesting to see if he can win in 2020. My guess is that this election will be even closer than the last one. More people will want to vote for their side. Turnout is key and we already know that Trump can get people out there, if the Democrat contender isn't really inspiring then they won't be able to compete. Simple as that.

  16. As far as your average Joe goes, Trump is the greatest president ever. Leave him alone.

The President should be removed from office, but the Republicans are not even pretending to uphold their oaths of objectivity.

  20. We Trump supporters are not going to watch this illegal BS that the commie liberals are doing and the liberals who yelled impeachment before Trump even took office have no clue what is going on all they want to do is destroy! They are unhinged dirty and dangerous people. Their investigation showed no crime but they are still impeaching and that's not legal. I hope things come to blows and I hope we have a war on American soil to get these nasty ignorant people out of our country and get our quality of life back.

    ReplyDelete
  21. We had enough evidence presented in the House. I watched a good portion of those proceedings. Unless the Senate has any interest in learning more and allowing witnesses that the WH continues to block, which is totally normal for an innocent man to do but I digress, what's the point in watching? The vast majority of the country would like more, new information but Moscow Mitch isn't interested. Trump is in place so Republicans can pack courts and he's useful for their agenda. End of story. The precedent has been set, if you're running for office and China or North Korea can pull up some dirt on your opponent or you have a lever to pull with those countries to get that dirt....it's cool. These are facts, plain and simple. It's a new day in politics where anything goes. Thanks Republicans.

  25. ^^because he is corrupt like your soul. Maybe you don't respect America and the rule of law, but most Americans do. In fact, the majority of Americans want him removed from office. You like him because he's fat, stupid, and lazy like you. That doesn't play in the real world. Traitor.

  26. 8:43 - that's what I said. Republicans just don't care about standards and laws anymore as long as it's their guy. He's allowing them to pack courts and push their agenda.

Pissed? Yeah, maybe, I guess. More sad and disappointed than anything. Politics and campaigns are ugly enough and that's just part of the deal but now giving carte blanche to use your office and foreign countries to smear anyone who you see as a threat politically. These facts aren't debatable. Trump tried to strong arm a government by witholding Congressionally approved aid until Ukraine made an announcement that they were investigating Joe and Hunter Biden. I haven't heard one Republican dispute this. The defense employed is to attack the messenger, not the message.

    ReplyDelete
  27. 9:55 prove it, until then and actually right now there is no proof, the whole thing is garbage and that’s why he gets acquitted and the impeachment gets wiped out. The real question is, were you this pissed when Obama did 10 times worse things?

What’s your honest answer about biden and the video about holding money back and getting a prosecutor fired over his sons business dealings? You can’t answer that honestly so.... If it’s a hate thing then every president would get impeached.

I would hope you nevar go to court over such flimsy shit over third party hearsay, can you imagine how much money it would cost you to defend yourself in court over something that can’t be proven? I know I don’t have money for that, I’d lose everything.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 8:56 you realize you’ve been brain washed right? Or are you just that stupid?

  29. I doubt most normal people have time to devote to watching sleazebags Schiff and Nadler stand in front of the Senate and lie for hours on end. And even if I did, my pain threshold isn't that high.

    ReplyDelete
  30. ^^Most Americans understand Trump violated the rule of law and should be removed from office over it. Sycophants like the Republican Senate will never vote to remove and his boot-licking followers will allow him to violate the Constitution because he's their guy. There may not be enough votes to remove him now, but the country has shifted on this before your feet. He is out in November and really it's not going to be close. You might know this if you bothered to get out of your bubbles once in a while.

    ReplyDelete
  31. 10:42 - look man, I'm tired. I watched the hearings, I listened to the witnesses. I believe them. They corroborated each other. You, obviously don't believe them or just didn't watch at all. So, throw that in with the fact that Trump has never released the word for word transcript of the call and is blocking witnesses or forcing court cases in order to allow those witnesses to testify, which would take years to resolve. And well, there you go for me. Obviously not enough for you. I can't change your mind.

I know about Biden and the corrupt prosecutor he had removed too. You are obviously getting information from a different, inaccurate source.

Enjoy your time in the cult.

  32. KCUR is insufferable. talk radio all day. When they do play music it is irritating jazz or white People talking about jazz. Very little local programming too.

KPR by contrast, Kansas public radio, at 91.5 , plays classical music every day 9am to 3pm and Again from I think 7pm to 9pm. You just have to turn off the radio about seven or eight minutes at the top of the hour to avoid the National npr news feed. And they have a lot of local programming e.g. classics live on Thursday night. And you can get decent reception in KC even though station is in Lawrence. Thanks, Radish
