Missouri Foundation For Health Commissions $1.5 Million In Studies On Gun Violence
The Missouri Foundation for Health and a national think tank are commissioning $1.5 million in grants for researchers to study the causes and effects of Missouri's gun violence epidemic. Foundation representatives hope the research will better inform policymakers on the best ways to prevent people from dying, said Jessi LaRose, a senior strategist at the St.
Free money for consultants and a couple college professors to come up with "conclusions" that they've already reached going in.

Gun violence is caused by individuals, many of them repeat offenders, who have no respect for themselves and others, have made little to no effort to get an actual job, even in an economy begging for workers, and who have lost any sense of humanity which enables them to do things like kill an eight year-old boy in his own bed.
Society demands that those people be gotten off the streets.
Elected and appointed officials need to focus resources on that project.
And they need to find the guts to do the job.
ReplyDeleteNO the study needs to show that it's people who should be in jail, but the judges and the prosecuting attorney in our city are not going after the source of the crime. Stop blaming guns and go after the real problem!

ReplyDeleteMore money to study the problem yet again. More consultants to line their pockets while avoiding the obvious. 6:46 is right, we all know who the problem is and it's not guns. Surprisingly,the same problem doesn't exist among white men with guns in Johnson County.

Black men are killing black men, they're not just 'dying from violence'. There's an explanation that doesn't involve blaming others, which is all that will definitely come out of this waste of money.

3. A socially-encouraged culture of victimhood and dependence
4. Identification with negative role models and a whole rap industry devoted to celebrating rape, death, and criminality.

gun deaths should be studied freely. it is public health, public policy, etc. etc.
ReplyDeletebut it is important to distinguish between deaths by suicide involving handguns and like homicides and accidents,I think. maybe not as meaningful from a public health standpoint, but as far as gun safety, id o think it is different when someone commits a suicide by handgun then obviously a crime or something involving a handgun.
Mortality Rate means everything. That's why there was a Marshall Plan after WW2.
