Today's reality check on so much taxpayer cash that was SUPPOSED to fix local streets . . . Moreover, pothole season hasn't even started so far this Winter. Take a look:
Fire truck stuck after sinkhole opens up under wheel in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A sinkhole ensnared a Kansas City Fire Department rescue truck on its way back from a call today, resulting in a tow and a street shutdown. Multiple trucks responded to a residential fire call at 11:15 a.m. on Jan. 7.
There’s some momentum for ya. Lol

ReplyDeleteThe bonds are $30 million a year over the course of 20 years. The bonds are for streets, sidewalks and bridges. The ballpark estimate to "fix the streets" in totality is between $2-$3 billion. And let us not forget the $4 billion tab for water. The issue is the decades of deferred maintenance for infrastructure. Infrastructure has a life cycle; and with maintenance the life cycle is longer but a life cycle nonetheless. All good things come to and end.
