Prairie Village Coming Soon?!?!

Arguments against breed bans were successful and the golden ghetto doggie conversation seems more reasonable than other local small towns. Checkit:

Prairie Village advances discussion of pit bull ban repeal

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A move to repeal a pit bull ban in Prairie Village took a step forward on Tuesday evening after discussion among the City Council. The council voted 9-3 in favor of directing city staff to draft an ordinance that repeals the breed-specific language in the existing ordinance.

  1. Jori Nelson a city council member spearheaded this. She spent time working at the KC Spay and Neuter clinic. Its a conflict of interest for her to help a business she has personal dealings with. She needs to be replaced.

  2. Look out Prairie Village. You know who will be renting on the east side of town and will bring their pitbulls.

  3. 5:46: Please explain what the conflict of interest is and how KC Spay & Neuter would benefit.

  4. Spay and neuter cant adopt out all the pitbulls they taken. So they put them to sleep. Jori worked there. No pitbull ban means they thrive by adopting out to pv residents and lower they costs of boarding pitbulls for months

  5. Now people who sell meth (who have alot of money from sales) can move to Prairie Village, buy a big mcmansion and legally have 3 or 4 pitbulls to guard their stash! This is great - they can move out of the getto and get away from bad neighbors. Live next door to Doctors and lawyers. Nobody is going to notice them, pitbulls will soon be common place there.

  6. Heck yes. Before Pitbulls would draw the cops. Now they wont. Your stash is alot safer in Prairie Village. Living in Independence stinks. We are moving on up baby!

  7. How many people were killed by Pitt Bulls last year in the metro? Ans.: Zero. Status: Regulated

How many people were killed by Blacks last year in the metro? Ans.: 100+ Status: Unregulated

Call me racist, but one group appears to be smarter and way less violent than the other.

  8. Hell yeah, Prarie Village can take all these pitbulls for Spay and Neuter. I'd like the option of adopting any other dog than a pitbull. Good luck with that P.V.. It'll take some poor kid getting their face mauled to prove these idiots wrong.

  9. Spay and Neuter is not an adopting agency. They provide--you guessed it!--spay and neuter services as well as annual vaccinations and health checks. They also do not board animals.

  10. Its will be a sad day for a "perfect village", high income family when their child's face, hands or arms are horribly scarred by a pitbull. It would ruin their kids future modelling career, dating choices and the kids at the schools will make fun of them and call them "dog face" and it will emotionally hurt the fragile child for life. Perfect village people need to ask the wyandotte county trailer park residents about owning pitbulls. Peoples think just cause they got money and an education that everything in their life will go their way and even there pets will obey and always respect them. They gots a huge surprise in store for them. And wow -what if its your perfect village neighbor's pitbull that chews little natalie's hand off when she is age 2? Would it still be perfect village? Pitbulls like to swallow little hands

  11. This is great! Straight laced prim and proper wealthy people are going to see their neighbors buying huge Pitbulls. Its going to freak those rich old biddies out! They will stay inside and never go out on their $100,000. patios again! Pitbulls are harmless - but the old biddies dont know it! This is great!

  12. I live in Wyandotte county and dont feel safe in the parks here walking my pit due to crime. Its nice to know I (and MY FRIENDS) will be able to drive to Prairie Village and walk my pit in the parks there. Those parks are beautiful and safe too. I have been waiting for this chance for many years. I think theY had the ban just to keep outsiders like me from coming to their city parks. That is racial and economic descrimination. Glad its fixed.

  13. Check KSHB's webpage. My neighbor is mentioned. I just saw 2 pitbulls maul my neighbor lady this morning as she was leaving for work at 8am. They bite her legs and when she fell they got her down, got on top of her and ripped up her face bad. The dogs were acting as a team. They were going to kill her. She dont even own those dogs. I live in Kansas City Missouri. Check the story our on KSHB new online website. Now they gonna kill those 2 dogs.

  14. Pit bulls kill and injure more people in America than any other breed. It's not poodles or corgis attacking people at high rates. People who say it's how they were raised or had a bad owner are fools. That's all I need to know to say they should be banned everywhere.

  15. I just got an update on my neighbor attacked this morning in kansas city missouri by 2 very large pitbulls. Still in hospital. Blood loss was big. the whole attack was pretty grusome and I didnt know what to do. your never prepared for this. If i ran over with my bare hands they would have bitten me. If I leaned over her they might have bitten my neck. A broom would just piss them off more. what the hell are you supposed to do? i feel guilty by I have no idea what I could have done to help her.

  17. My poor neighbor needed money anyway. Now being unable to work and with emergcy room bills I dont know how she is gonna make it. Maybe we can set up a gofundme account for her? This is terrible. What if these dogs had gotten ahold of Patrick Mahomes today? Then the chiefs would lose for sure.

  18. And yet the media have not reported on this alleged attack. Weird.

  19. go to kshb online. Select the "local news" tab. its there. I just saw it. Of course its not as important as the mass shooting of 15 people, and the coronavirus. But it is there. I just saw it

  20. There is an item on KSHB's site, but it just mentions one dog bite, which is not what you described. Two dogs, yes, but only one biting and one bite.

  21. Hey dude, I was there, They were both biting. But the police only saw 1, as it took them a long time to get there. I hope she is ok. She is a very nice lady. I dont know what she is going to do now. She didnt do anything wrong, she was going to work. It could have been me. Thats the scary thing

  22. Seeing a dog attack is emotionally disturbing. You may have the right to sue for emotional damages. Under Missouri laws, you are not liable for "not getting involved" since you could have been injured yourself. The bad part is, if your ever attacked, nobody else is responsible for helping you. Only animal control is liable for not helping you if they are notified. it takes a trained professional to stop an attack. Contact an attorney.

  24. I could care less about the perfect village snobs. Let them screw themselves over by getting the meanest dogs in world. They need to experience some blood, death and injuries like ys here in kcmo. I cant think of a better way than to bring in pitbulls. They were used to tear people to shreads in the colloseum in rome. Blood odor makes them go freaking insane. Maybe a few cops will lose some body parts rescuing people. This is gonna be fun to follow. People vote to bring innercity to perfect village!

  25. The owner is not a good person. He has lots of tats. At least a stray bullet didnt hit the lady. Owner moving to prairue village kansas

  26. This is gonna be awesome. Pitbulls will chew up little rich spoiled kids and their parents will go in a tizzy fit. We had a pityy in our hood. It bit about 1/2 the people round here till the cops finally got it. Took them a year. Once they get free, you cannot catch them. I seen some dog fights, they bite huge chunks of flesh off in a single bite. I saw one kill a much bigger dog in just a minute. It was gross and i am against dog fights. I turned the guy in. They didnt do nothing to him.

  27. I hope the council members in favor of Pitbills have neighbors that go out and adopt Pits from the shelters. You know the pits that came from meth dealers. Won't that freak out the council members!

  28. I used to live in a city that dropped the Pitbull laws. I really didnt mind the Pitbulls which quickly were everywhere. But I got really pissed off at the 25 to 55 year old men, covered in tatoos, that tried to "pickup" my 15 & 16 year old daughters. Those men wanted to take my daughters to bed. They straight out asked for sex. Its not the dog -its the people that own them you need to watch out for. If you have daughters then worry.

  29. I lived in a city that dropped its pitbull ban. I didnt mind the Pitbulls which showed up everywhere at every city event and 4th of July fireworks etc. But I did not appreciate the sudden group of 21 to 55 years old men, tatoos down their arms, who continually propositioned my 14 and 16 year old daughters for sex. It was sick. If you have daughters you may want to think of them, not the pitbulls.

  30. Those pitbulls are gonna attack people's expensive and dearly loved little dogs and chew them up. I can see cops at the park everyday, doing reports on someone's poodle that met a gory death. Pitbulls were bread to kill bears and deer. Little dog is a snack
