  1. Not that many affected here in KC. Sales is a very fickle line of work to be in anymore.

  4. Will never forget in 1997. Russell Stover's IBM mainframe computer's operating system shut down cause the license was not renewed. They called our consulting company to "fix it". Turned out they had pirated DST's software and operating system and was using it illegally. DST didnt renew it cause they thought it was no longer used. As a resulted they settled and IBM/EDS was given a large consulting gig at Stover which I managed! $$$$$$$$

  5. Stover, Halls, are all iconic KC companies. They do business with their wealthy pals. But all 3 companies have resisted innovation and are pretty much stuck in the 60s and 70s. They are rude, and not friendly to local suppliers. Bartlett, McNeel are up there too.

  6. Russell Stover. The candies you need to eat over a trash can because 4 out of 5 of them taste like bile.
