Kansas Talks Terror Threats

Politicos share not-so-secret updates on the U.S. security picture amid a much more dangerous world in 2020. Take a look:

U.S. Department of Homeland Security gives Kansas legislators secret briefings on security

TOPEKA, Kan. - The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is giving Kansas legislators extraordinary private briefings about undisclosed security issues. Kansas House members boarded National Guard buses Tuesday for a briefing at a former Air Force base south of Topeka involving DHS and arranged by Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt's office.

  1. Yeah, I've heard that the Right Wing "Militias" are expanding west out of the Ozarks and north out of the Bostons.

Question--if Governor Kelly and her bobblehead cabinet and the Ks Supremes were all slightly injured in an atomic attack, would that be such a bad thing? Soon they will have free Medicaid.

But seriously, do we think Gen. Soleimani's family and friends would really target the Topeka Capitol? Because, think twice, that blast might also take out the putt putt golf course in the celebrated nearby Holiday Inn. So then what's to praise on Yelp in Topeka??

  3. Several years ago, I was told the REAL threat in Kansas would be if someone hit K-State. In Manhattan, not Topeka. Not the teams, silly--what would be the point of that. The biology department. Where they conduct major research of hoof and mouth disease. As well as Lyme disease, (aka deer syphilus.) All in secret, with major government funding. All awaiting patents for the vaccines they are inventing/building.

The scientists were allowed, by the Ks. Legislature, to own any patents. So it's not the public that would get mega-rich, and not even the football and basketball coaches. Just a few research professors.

If hoof and mouth were to escape the lab it could wipe out all beef and pork production in North America. A serious concern.

  5. Why did they need separate briefings for Dems and Republicans?

  6. 5:36 because the Dems can't be trusted not to leak anything to their media handlers.
